“Enjoyed our stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

My wife and 2 older boys 20 and 24 spent a night at this lodge. Ana made us feel welcome and made sure we could find a spot for dinner. She suggested a walk to the top of the big rocks that were near the house, Very challenging hike, but well worth the time to scale the rock. Ana would speak spanish to me and english to our boys so that we all were included. She involved the other guests at breakfast who were from Madrid to talk to us in English and Spanish.
I would go back!

Anna & Steve were most welcoming. The rooms were very spacious and as we were the only guests we were offered 2 rooms with own bathrooms instead of a triple room. We were provided with excellent information about Logrono and the surrounding areas. Three nights was not enough to do it all!! Thankyou for being wonderful hosts and making us comfortable and welcome.Only negative are the dogs are a little bit too aggressive towards strangers!

My husband and I stayed at la Casa Verde for four nights and our experience was one of a kind.
Steve and Ana are wonderful hosts and made our trip easy and confortable. Their home is a beautiful charming Canadian style home in a beautiful surrounding and their garden , by the pond next to our room, refreshing after a long day sightseing. Ana´s welcoming smile, made us feel comfortable from day one.
The rooms are clean and espacious and breakfasts plentyful and delicious...
I highly recommend this B and B and would not hesitate coming back... Thanks Ana and Steve... Also thanks for the wine!!

A very uncomfortable two night stay in a low market B&B. Should have been fabulous as it sits beneath huge rocks that are home to a large colony of vultures and the rooms were potentially ideal being built specifically for paying guests. We were exploring the area and doing a lot of walking and it would have been nice to have a warm welcome with hot drinks and warm cosy rooms. Instead I felt I had intruded on a family home and that the beds had not been aired and that the cats had had access to the rooms for a nap. I did suffer from my only bites of the whole week when staying there. The en suite had good hot water but was tiny and flooded with you used the shower, so you could not undress in there. The shower curtain had seen better days, and the towels were small and well used. Breakfast was a flask of coffee, hot milk, toast and jam. There is a nice lounge area where you could sit but again the it was very cold when we were there. There is a large garden but even if the weather had been hot I would have been reluctant to intrude as it seemed to be the family garden with large signs saying private. Perhaps we visited at the end of a long difficult season ..............

Casa Verde is a very quiet place and the location is very nice.
Ana, the owner, is very, very pleasant, She's really helpfull to help you to organise your trip (bodegas, restaurants, etc...)
I recommand strongly this B&B.

Only the most positive adjectives can describe Casa Verde and its owners. The house and the sourroundings are beautiful. Rooms are nice and clean and the common space (living room and dining room) are beautiful and invite you to share your experience and meal with other guests and the hosts. Ana and Steve are wonderful, warm people. Their advice on "things to do, things to see" is invaluable. Ana's hospitality cannot be matched - she made sure that we made the best use of our short time in Rioja and helped us to organize everything. I hope to go back!!!
