“Rating food not stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

Been here three times in the last few months. Really nice place with staff very helpful.

My only issue is limited vegetarian food but they will do you anything you want and price is abit high for food.

We went to Northern Ireland from Birmingham for my hen party and stayed at the Ballyrobin. There was 6 of us in 3 rooms. The rooms were lovely and clean with ample storage and comfortable beds.
We were greeted by Paula on our arrival and she was simply amazing throughout. From getting us taxis, to ensuring we get the fares promised by the taxi people (yes one taxi driver tried charging us £148 for a £60 return journey into belfast a central).
We only ate at the restaurant once for breakfast and it was amazing. Five of us had the eggs royale and it was simply amazing.
We had to leave at 5am on Tuesday morning and staff at Ballyrobin was very accommodating, we got breakfast sent to our rooms as the restaurant doesn't open til 7am.
Overall an amazing experience I would love to visit belfast again and stay at the Ballyrobin.

We used the Ballyrobin recently to meet up with our daughter & son-in-law returning from honeymoon. We had an excellent meal, from a varied & interesting menu, had a few drinks in the bar, stayed overnight in an excellent room, very clean, very helpful & welcoming staff in reception, bar & dining room.Rooms were spacious, comfortable & quiet despite close proximity to airport. Breakfast was also 1st class.Plenty of parking - and reasonably priced - couldn't fault it in any way !

I was allowed to book into room very early in the day which made it a great base for work. Very helpful staff. Good food. Comfortable bed. The location makes it perfect if going to or from the International airport.

I visited the Ballyrobin yesterday afternoon, came across it by chance as a meeting I was due to have cancelled which left me having to try and kill 6 hours before a flight back home. I went in just to have lunch (which was excellent, with a phenomenal menu with loads of interesting dishes) but ended up staying for the full 6 hours. The staff (possibly the owner, I wasn't sure) couldn't have been kinder, and set me up in a quiet bar room with internet access, electricity for my laptop and as much coffee as I could drink. It's this kind of hospitality which will guarantee on my next business trip I spend at least a night or two at the Ballyrobin.

The room rates are competitve and the lodge is just a few minutes drive from the airport. The bedroom was lovely and fresh and clean and we found the staff very accommodating. We have eaten in the restaurant before for lunch a few times while waiting for family to arrive on flights but the evening meals are equally good. It looks less impressive from the outside but is a great place to stay.

I have stayed here on a few occasions before flying out of aldergove the next day, the rates are always very good and your 5 mins away from the airport, the rooms are lovely... clean and modern, staff at reception are extremely helpful and the food in the restaurant is hard to beat, it always a nice way to start your holiday and the rates include your holiday parking at Karl which is great :-))

Room Tip: Try to get one of the rooms in the new building!!
