“Comfortable and reasonable overnight for early departure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

I wouldn't choose this as a holiday base , but if you've an early airport departure and you book far enough in advance , it can be a very good overnight stop . Departure terminal is a few steps away , so look on it as an extension of your holiday . Room is clean and attractive with tea-making facilities ; also quiet at night . You can bring your own wine and sandwiches or dine in the bar without breaking the bank .

Situated right next door to the airport, this hotel offers a great place for an informal business meeting and offers very good quality food.
It can also be an ideal place to stop and enjoy food before departing on your flight due to its close proximity to the the airport.

Room Tip: Great stop off when using Belfast Airport.

It would be easy to criticize the Park Plaza on many fronts. The food, the decor, the lack of atmosphere - even the location.

But on the other hand the location is its strength - it is virtually within spitting distance of the airport terminal. And it a very good value - £99 for an overnight stay and 8 nights car parking. And the car parking is also much closer to the terminal than the main official car park and considerably more convenient (and safer?) than the independent car parks.

The staff are pleasant and efficient and the room is fine for one night. So the Park Plaza does the job for which it is intended - it was never meant as a base for a holiday!

This hotel is very basic and in desperate need of a makeover, there is wallpaper peeling in the room, the toilet and bathroom are seperate so dont know if this is good or bad,the good thing it is so near the airport you can almost touch the aircraft.

I was extremely shocked at the fact that I must pay seperately for wifi access in rooms.. Even buses now cater for free wifi. Only place to get free wifi is the bar or restaurant which I feel is a ploy to get guests to spend extra money. The rooms are basic but nice and staff are friendly. The only let down is being charged for wifi in rooms.

The staff at this hotel are fantastic and provide a service you would get in a London 5*! what lets them down is the hotel, its dated in every way from the rooms to the plastic roses on the tables its the staff who made me forget about the detail and made my stay great!

I stayed here on a one night Groupon deal before going on holiday the next morning. The overall experience was great. The cocktails included in the deal were delicious and the meals we had for dinner and breakfast were both excellent. It is understandable but just a shame that the hotel charges so much for additional parking as I had to park elsewhere for the duration of my trip.
