Great hotel in peaceful location. Excellent service and food, especially the fantastic Sunday lunch. Would recommend this to anyone. Excellent heated outdoor swimming pool and still in use 1st week of October. Great hotel for long or short breaks always offering deals on breaks

This was our second visit to this hotel. The staff make it very relaxing and are always pleasant and helpful. The rooms are clean and the food excellent. The local beaches are wonderful. Would highly recommend this hotel for a stay on Guernsey.

Stayed at this hotel as part of a Channel island holiday. The hotel is situated across the road from the bay. It is in a lovely quiet location. The rooms are a nice size but a little on the tired side. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. The food served at the breakfast is good and dinner at the hotel is very good. My wife and I really enjoyed our break here.

Room Tip: If staying in Guernsey look out this hotel as it is good value for money.

Hotel had deteriated over the last few years, on a bed & breakfast status but the nearest Restaurant's attitude was appalling and will think twice about returning next year. I would like to review the Hotel where we stayed for the extra night as we were delayed the Hogue du Pomer very good , comfortable, friendly food very reasonable and of a high quality.

Room Tip: We went as a Golf club on our annual exchange golf match one in Ramsey one in Guernsey at Royal Guer...

We stayed at this hotel as part of a coach tour for 6 nights. The hotel is spacious and the staff are always willing to help. I asked for skimmed milk at the first breakfast and they ordered it in especially for me. The food is fantastic ! The breakfast is a buffet with hot and continental selection plus you can ask for kippers, porridge, omelettes as well. The evening meals were also delicious. There was a choice of 3 starters followed by soup, then the main course (4 choices) followed by a large choice of desserts with tea & coffee and a chocolate to finish!
There is a heated outdoor swimming pool and a pitch & putt course as well. Although the hotel is a fair way out from St Peter Port there is a bus stop just outside and the buses are frequent and regular. There are some attractions within walking distance as well

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room which was very convenient. It overlooked the front entrance of the hotel...

I nearly cancelled my break following an accident that has left my hand encased in a splint for six weeks but the staff at the Peninsular couldn't have been more helpful in this clean, comfortable and attactive hotel. I also suffered a post-bridgework dental problem whilst staying there but the reception staff were so helpful in finding a dentist for me.
The food is first class, beautifully presented by friendly and efficient waiting staff, and in pleasant surroundings.
You get this good service in hotels where the staff are happy and where morale is high.
It's one of the best hotels I've stayed in, and the bar prices are not inflated.

Room Tip: Someone said their room was cold but mine was fine.
