Nice enough environment, decent drinks selection, but boy oh boy, have they embraced London pricing.
Have eaten here many times, even per-Alcatraz days, and never felt the pinch on the wallet for such an average meal as today. Not bad, and nothing to truly complain about other than the prices. £13.95 for belly pork and spuds is just not a sensible price in a venue where you collect your own cutlery, napkins and relishes - in my book at least. Tapas selection over- priced, mains over priced, probably escaped from Alcatraz with £19 per head for a meal worthy of at the most £5 per head less.
I will not be rushing back, unless exploiting a Groupon voucher, or feeling like I have money to waste, sorry.
