On the website I used to book the hotel, the impression was that this is an old country style hotel with brand new wings added which is quite a common feature of country house type hotels these days. However, the reality of this hotel (which was confirmed to me by the duty manager) is that it is a conference centre which is selling spare capacity at the weekend, even the reception is in a brand new building (not the old house) and is more reminiscent of an office block. It seems to work fine for large corporate functions and weddings but is definitely not a place for couples who want to spend quiet evenings in the hotel's bar and restaurant. The smallest tables available in the restaurant were for eight people. The duty Manager advised me that I should have read the website properly as it is clear that it is a conference centre and that therefore I shouldn't have expected cosy tables for two! I had read previous reviews on tripadvisor but stopped at the first few which were all fantastic, when I read further down I found more relevant reviews. Despite paying a premium for a superior room, our room was standard and only set up for one person ie one plastic cup in the bathroom and one set of towels! As stated by other reviewers, the rooms are a long way from reception and our room telephone wasn't working. When my husband made the long journey back to reception to complain that the room wasn't prepared properly, they sent room service to me with one wine glass! I explained we wanted two water glasses so she then returned with one extra tea mug and an additional wine glass. A previous reviewer had commented on the range of breakfast, this was no different to any other hotel I had stayed in. A staff do not monitor usage and a couple of the dishes were stone cold and sauce bottles empty. On two occasions I had to advise the pleasant lady on the restaurant reception desk of problems with the breakfast. On the positive side all the issues I raised with her and the duty manager were addressed the next day. However, when my husband went for his early morning swim at 8.30 am the dirty towel bins were still there from the day before and there were no clean towels and there were discarded used plasters on the floor in the changing rooms. As the deputy Manager had pointed out to me, it does say it is a conference centre but many hotels also say that these days but they are firstly hotels and secondly conference centres, in this case, it is the reverse. The gates announce Hayley Conference Centre they do not say Beaumont House Hotel.

  • Liked — new and modern
  • Disliked — the bedroom was decorated in grey and black which which made the room very gloomy

My husband and I stayed at this hotel after attending our friends wedding.
The meal after the wedding was lovely and the BBQ buffet in the evening was just as good.

We have to agree that the rooms are a bit of a walk away from the reception but once we did arrive at our room it was fantastic! well worth the walk, our room was newly built and perfect, very modern and clean and felt very luxurious with flat screen tv etc volume controls in the bathroom so you can still listen to the tv/ radio while you showered etc if we had to fault it in any way then we would say that there were not enough towels in the bathroom.

The breakfast buffet was great, loads of choice from full english breakfast to cereals, fresh fruits and even freshly made pankakes.
We would definitely visit this hotel again and are thinking of booking next year for our wedding anniversary!

Hi,

Have just returned from one of the "Girls Weekends" at Beaumont House. It wasn't the mass of drunken women that one of the other reviews suggests it might have been! Despite the huge capasity of the hotel there was probably no more than fifty women there. I was there with 9 others and we have absolutely no complaints whatsoever!

On arrival we were greeted with a glass of bubbly and checked into our very nice hotel rooms with beautiful views across the garden and tennis courts. The gym is well equiped and the pool very large for a hotel.

The food was varied and all of good quality. The staff were helpful and friendly and the price was really good value for money!

We will be going back again!!!

Nice surroundings, but very close to Heathrow airport, so you can hear the airplanes flying in and out.
Long distance between the reception/main house and the rooms -it is about a 5 minute walk to the rooms.
Rooms are rather basic, very small TV, not working all the time, hot and cold water are not mixed, so you can either get burnt or get very cold water.
The gym and the pool are very nice, provided you find your way to it.

I spent last weekend at Beaumont House, where my friend got married, the venue is fantastic set in some beautiful grounds. Every member of staff was very polite, helpful and all round made us feel very welcome.
The food for the wedding & buffet was of a brilliant standard, there wasn't anything which didn't impress me, I would highly recommend!
