“A real treat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We dined here last Friday evening. The restaurant is small and was full so we were made comfortable near the bar while we waited. There is an extensive menu and a really good deal of £16.95 for two courses with desserts at £3.99 and before 7pm pud and pasta can be had for £10. Service was efficient, food delicious and freshly cooked. There was a nice buzzy feel about the place and everyone looked to be having a good time. We were really impressed and would highly recommend this restaurant. They do not even add a service charge but leave it to ones discretion.

“Time travel back to 1991”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

To be positive the staff were friendly enough. Decor and chairs rather tired though. Food was in the classical style of an upmarket pub in the early 1990s.Sauces rather too abundant, too rich, too oniony and too sweet. Pannacotta was rather jaundiced and rubbery (gelatine).

“Great restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

Whole experience was great! The atmosphere from the second you walk through the door is excellent, the staff are extremely friendly- can not fault them at all. Food is fantastic, not only is the choice great but value for money is excellent! When the food arrived the presentation was spot on & incredibly well cooked and tasty. Try this restaurant, it's lovely!

“Great Value and Quality Pasta and Pud!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Enjoyed the pasta and pud deal very much earlier this week. Good quality homemade food and excellent value at £10 . My son thought the garlic bread the best he'd had! Only little gripe was that it was not all that warm but it was a very cold evening.
