I liked the diversity of the menu - Japanese/Asian food on one side of the menu and New York Deli on the other. It's an odd combination but great if you want Japanese food and your friends want chicken soup and a salt beef sandwich!!
All the food is freshly prepared so it's not all served at once
We had several starters including vegetable tempura, seaweed, prawn wonton soup, vegetable rolls with hoisin sauce and vegetarian sushi. The food was quite tasty. For main course I had tuna teriyaki which was very good. The owner was very welcoming and enthusiastic . He offered to help us if we were unsure of anything on the menu.
I could see dishes being delivered to other tables and it all looked really good
The bill was £160 for 4 of us including service
This seemed expensive for a restaurant outside of Central London but I know Japanese food comes at a premium.
I would go to Cafe Bukushi again as I liked the food and the vibe of the place but this time for a light lunch
