Not a great place at all. The all male staff were pleasant enough - but the food is very average.
The room was basic and the hot water was sporadic.

I would say it's ok for business overnighters if you're not too fussy, but guys - don't promise that special someone a romantic night away and end up bringing her here !!

I think the chef was having a bad night when I was there and it showed in his cooking.

Having read previous reviews, I approached my night's stay with trepidation! In the event everything was fine, my 2 colleagues and I dined in the restaurant and had a pleasant meal. So don't believe every poor review!

This wasn't an awful experience, just not a good one. The hotel staff was pleasant and the room was reasonably clean. However, the bed was uncomfortable, the 3:45 wake-up call we requested was never made (luckily we packed our own alarm), no hand soap in the bathroom, and the task of getting to and from the airport via shuttle was more complicated than perhaps it should be.

A couple tips on the shuttle:
1) Make sure you call the hotel upon arrival to ask for a pick up.
2) Directions to the shuttle:
a. Down one level to the airport shuttle parking lot.
b. Turn left upon exiting the tunnel and proceed to the orange car park (not where the other hotel shuttles are).
c. Stand in front of "Orange E" to wait for the pick-up. At this point you'll be standing in a parking lot. If it doesn't look like a shuttle should pick you up there, you're probably in the right place.
3) You will pay 2 pounds per person per use.

In sum, it's hard to hate this place b/c I do feel that the staff was genuinely eager to please. Sadly the place is more potential than adept execution.

Oh my god dont go there. Looks pretty enough from the outside, took a while to find, had to ask at a local pub and they commented Desalis you are staying there? which should have prepared me. The reception is a podium in the middle of a stairway, when we checked in he added another 20.00 pound per person for parking and transfers and then asked for payment before we saw the room but I refused and boy am I glad I did, the sheets were filthy and had stains and body hair (the curly type) in them the bathroom had broken tiles and broken bath panel and it smelled terrible. My wife immediately decided we were not going to stay and checked out at 11.30 pm even though we were flying from Stansted in the morning and there were no hotels available for 30 miles due to the heavy snowfall. They offered us another room which we declined and decided to sleep in the car for the night and would not do anything different again. Please take my advice and stay away ,this is the worst hotel I have ever been to and Ive stayed in contractors hotels in London.
