“Great Sunday lunch for a group”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

We visited on Sunday 20th October with around 15 other members of our classic car club. We'd booked and most of us had ordered in advance to make things easier for the kitchen staff, but the waitresses coped very well with the one group of us who hadn't ordered, adding their order in and bringing all the food at around the same time. The Sunday roasts looked excellent, but being a vegetarian I had ordered the veggie burger and fries - I find that how places do this simple meal is a real indicator of quality and here I wasn't disappointed at all. The chips were large, crispy and fluffy; the burger was in a lovely chewy ciabatta roll and it came with little pots of salsa and coleslaw. Really nicely presented too with the chips in a wire basket. Great stuff. We were too full for a pudding, but those we saw going to other tables looked great.

“Excellent food and very friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely meal at the Ship in Weybourne in July. My wife had delicious Thai crab cakes and I had steak and ale pie. Really good food at a sensible price. The waiter was very friendly and efficient. The whole experience was excellent. On a separate occasion when we went in for a drink and to the use wifi the staff also helped get us online.

“Excellent Service for a large group”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

I recently stayed at Kelling Heath Camp site with friends and we decided to eat at the Ship Inn one evening, We pre-ordered our choice from a broad menu and 18 of us arrived (limited parking space) and were welcomed by the bar staff and shown to our tables. One choice was difficult to serve within such a large group but we were asked if we did not mind it could be served we were prepared to wait while it was cooked. This was agreed and after a short while all the food was served, It was fresh, perfectly cooked and very tasty. It was very impressive for such a large group and everyone enjoyed their meal and the beers were well kept and service second to none.

“Recommend to book”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

Didn't book a table as last year we just walked in and ordered. We were surprised how busy it was, but we were showed to a table in a mother room. Service was very good and staff friendly. Food was delivered in an accepted time and was excellent. Husband was impressed by beer choice and I liked the draft cider. Will book next time. Hope they do well.
