“Nice place, good room.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

Stayed here for 1 night in July with my partner. We got a big familly room, was spacious, 2 flat screen tvs's, fridge, fitted wardrobes. Bed was high and you sunk into it. Bathroom was really big and shower was also very big, all clean. Its set in a real nice location and cost about £20 for a taxi to Newcastle if i remember rightly. There is a nice italian just down the road too. Had Breakfast and was very nice, the usual english breakfast with as much coffee/orange juice cereal as you'd want. Cannot fault it really.

Room Tip: All rooms seem good quality.

My family (wife and sons 8 and 11) attended a wedding at the nearby Kirtley Hall. It acted as the perfect base for our needs. Everyone was welcoming and the food and drink were great. Value for money also very good. Would recommend The Diamond to all.

We stayed in one of the rooms in the block outside the pub - good room, clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, allows dogs. We were there for a wedding and had a great time. Pub on the evening was very busy so the only downside was struggling to find a parking space. Good value for money!

Stayed in room 7 in the block opposite the main building, it was very clean and spacious and had a lovely big shower cubicle. Tea & coffee facilities and toiletries were provided and the full breakfast was lovely and cooked very nicely. We would definitely stay there again. Ponteland is a very nice village with several pubs and restaurants within walking distance.

Room Tip: Room 7 has a large shower cubicle and you can park right outside the door.

We stayed for a (Saturday) night here, in one of the rooms in the block opposite the main building. The room was of a very high standard and it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was good, and the evening menu looked good too though, we were eating elsewhere the evening we were there.

We had 3 rooms, one of which was a very large family room accomodating 2 adults and 2 teenagers, lots of space. The hotel was very clean and the staff were fantastic. Would definitely recommend.
