Delicious food, beautifully cooked, excellent service, a lovely front of house and expert chef. Gin and tonic in the lounge with a roaring fire and comfy sofas, peruse of the menu in blissful peace. We were seated a respectful distance from other diners and waited in eager expectation for our food. Plump mussels in a delicious creamy sauce and potted crab followed by sumptuous spring lamb and knife-through butter pancetta-wrapped venison. Fantastic desserts, lovely touches in homemade breads and canapés. Overall a wonderful evening and very memorable, bravo, the theobalds!
