“Truly an oasis away from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

We booked a room for the night for our wedding anniversary - it was a surprise for my wife who has commented often on how much she likes the village of Storrington which we drive through regularly. She was absolutely delighted as was I with our stay here. Ted and Lois are warm and welcoming hosts and we had a lovely, clean spacious room at the front of the property with a view out to a vine yard. It is a 5 minute walk into the lovely village of Storrington along a picturesque lane which takes you past a beautiful church and abbey. We toured round the 3 pubs in the village for a drink before enjoying a lovely Indian meal at the local Indian restaurant. Our stay was completed by a lovely English breakfast the next morning. We definitely intend to return to Ashton House.

Room Tip: Our room at the front of the house was clean, comfortable and spacious with a large bathroom and gre...

Perfect location up a quiet side street with views of vines from the house. A very friendly welcome and great breakfast. Nice room which was spotlessly clean. If you need a b&b to sleep well and relax in, this is the one.

This place is a classic B&B - an ordinary house with really friendly people, a very comfortable bed, and a great breakfast. Free wifi, loads of parking, in a very quiet road. And the best bacon and mushrooms I've had for ages. And 5 mins walk into the centre of the village, where you can get curry, Thai, or a pint. If only they were all like this! PS - I took some photos but they didn't do it justice, since it's not a castle or a cute cottage, just a house. It's the service and the quality that makes it special.

I stayed in this B&B when snow caused me to spend the night in the village. From first contact the owner was very welcoming and accomodating
The room was excellent. Large room, comfortable bed, sofa and fridge.
Probably the best B&B I have stayed in.

We stayed one night after a local wedding. Ted and Lois are very friendly welcoming people and the room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Lovely En-suite, with big fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries. The breakfast was delicious and we felt completely at home. Highly recommended. A lovely house, great hosts and beautiful surrounding countryside.

Warm & welcoming hospitality. Beautiful rooms. Tastefully decorated with luxurious towels and accessories. VERY homely. The breakfasts are outstanding served in a very pretty dining room. The quality of food is 5* and more. I wouldn't hesitate in reccommending. Mr & Mrs Howl are the perfect hosts. Thank you!
