Call me old fashiond but-! Firstly I think the Manager of any Hotel should look presentable on welcoming his guests. Not unshaven and casually dressed at 3pm in the afternoon! The Manager turned into "Chef" at night! Secondly- The barman stroke waiter was dressed in jeans and a black shirt hanging over his trousers! He claims to have worked in a Michelin Star Restaurant in Germany?? What a pity they didn't teach him how to set a table correctly?? I am sure if he had Michelin Star experience he would know how to dress as a Waiter and it would not be by wearing jeans and a shirt not tucked into his trousers serving Dinner to guests! I am also sure that in the Michelin Star Restaurant he was not taught to clean the table with his squirty bottle and cloth before the customers had left the table!!Thirdly the young Spanish man with little understanding of the Breakfast Menu or the English language was well out of his depth in the Dining Room ! How on earth would he cope with a bus party of guests? Next comment is that it would have been nice to have had the coal fire on in the lounge on such a cold and miserable night instead of an empty fire grate with used ashes lying in it? Why could this not have been cleaned out and reset ready for use? It's not as if the Hotel was busy? A few constructive criticisms which could easily be rectified and in our opinion would make such a difference! I think a woman's touch is needed for the finer details!
