The accomodation is in a seperate annexe to the pub which makes it nice and private with none of the usual pub noise.
Lovely fresh cotton bedware on a comfortable bed, the room and on-suite were spotlessly clean.
The staff in the pub are very friendly and helpful and have a nice selection of very good pub food.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay and a great B&B that I would certainly use again

Room Tip: There is a fairly busy road close by, but only during daylight hours. The quietest rooms are on the...

This has the potential to be an exceptional hotel if only they would invest in some decent mattresses. The decor is lovely, original and in good order. Although it is basically a pub with accommodation the rooms are in a separate building so no noise from the pub. The room I was in had a fair bit of noise from the road but if you book a hotel on a main road then what else can you expect! The most annoying issue was the noise that the guest walking about in the room above made. The floor/ceiling creaks very loudly. Next time I will request a top floor room!
Food in the pub is good as is the beer. Breakfast starts a bit late and I had to leave before they started serving breakfast but they were very happy to provide me with a 'take away' breakfast the previous evening.
Lovely fluffy towels. Biscuits would be a good addition to to the tea and coffee tray.
I liked the free WiFi - very useful as I was working away from home for this trip.

Room Tip: Ask for top floor if you don't want to be kept awake by creaky floorboards.

Although we only stayed one night we were very impressed by the room and level of service. We had a meal in the resturant in the evening (chicken in a truffle sauce) which was fantastic and the range of beers was excellent. The room was very quite with no traffic noise at all which we found surprising being close to a road.

The Swan's a nice pub and the rooms aren't bad.

Low cost, with good food and friendly staff. Easy check-in.

Road noise is a bit of a challenge, but a good value stay-I'd book again.

The outbuilding where the rooms are located is a bit dingy, but once you're into the rooms, beds are comfy and bathroom's fine.

A late business requirement meant I could not stay iat my usual hotel in the area and i chose the Swan because of it's good reviews.
The Swan is a great hotel; the rooms were clean and comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and well appointed. There was free wifi in the room and in the bar area; which is a must for me.
The food was amazing; i ate one of the best meals i have had for a long time - i had a Rib-Eye steak which was superb.
My only issue was that breakfast does not start till 7.30am, which is just half an hour too late in my opinion.
Overall a great place to stay, would choose to stay here more often if only breakfast started at 7am.

Room Tip: Rooms 1-6 are probably the quietest.
