“Basic but decent enough.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013 via mobile

Had an overnight stay at this hotel as part of a National Holidays Yorkshire jaunt and it was quite acceptable with good and bad points. Bad points were little bits of mould on the walls, toilet didn't flush properly and rooms smelled stale. Good points were friendly staff, lovely evening roast meal and full English breakfast, comfortable beds and good beer (for a hotel). Would I stay here again? Well it sure ain't the Ritz but it's ok for an overnight stay. I liked it.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review following your recent stay.
I have passed on your kind comments regarding the staff and the food. I appreciate the comments in regards to the rooms, the hotel maintenance team do work hard to rectify any issues.
Should you be visiting the area again, we would be more than happy to welcome you back to the hotel.

Stayed for one night with wife & 2 kids. Room was clean and had recently been refurbished. Beds were comfortable so we had a good nights sleep. Only thing with the room was that the carpet next to the window was soaked. We didnt ask for a change of room & reported it in the morning. I hope it gets sorted.
Getting a taxi seemed quite difficult into Leeds city centre. I would have expected the hotel reception to be able to order us one, but instead gave us a list of 5 numbers so we had to call ourselves. Thought the service here could have been far better considering we got there at 12.00 midday & at this point the hotel was not busy at all. We were the only people in the reception area.
We got sorted with AB Cars who were very prompt & gave good service.
Overall a clean room, service could be better though. If you are after Leeds city centre I would recommend a hotel closer though. Other than that decent value.

Thank you for taking to the time to write a review following your recent stay.
We would have been more than happy to offer you an alternative room, if you had requested, but thank you for bringing the wet carpet issue to our attention the following morning. This has now been rectified by the Maintenance team.
I apologise for the issue you encountered when trying to book a taxi, our team should have been able to assist you with your request. This has been fed back to them an training implemented.
I thank you again for your feedback and should you be visiting the area again, please do visit the hotel again and I am sure you will experience a higher level of customer service on your return visit.

we stayed at this hotel as we were on a coach trip with national holidays after reading reviews on a typical coach holiday hotel we wasnt expecting much but we was very impressed. the room was very clean and spacious the bed was very comfy and the food was excellent for the price we payed, buffet style 3 course dinner and breakfast all included and plenty to chose from i would definatly recommend this hotel .it also had great facilities which we would have took more advantage of if we stayed more than one night including bar sauna and swimming pool just what u need after a long day shopping!

Not really any complaints.Stayed in room 137 which was situated at the end of a corridor, facing the car park but well away from from entertainment rooms so quiet.Very nice, friendly staff throughout.Clean and fresh throughout.Restaurant, clean, great food, lovely staff. Our room was spotless and newly painted/refurbished.We had a double bed and 2 single.Lovely comfy beds, duvets and pillows. The only fault we could find is the lighting in the room (apart from the bathroom) wasnt bright enough and when it came to dry your hair in front of the mirrors, you couldnt see very well.I would have put lighting above the mirrors.Apart from that,i cant fault our stay.I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this hotel and im very very fussy. Its 35mins from Leeds and the same to York.

Room Tip: Our room was down a long corridor at the back of the reception,it was quiet as it was well away from...

Stayed overnight, initially in part of hotel that had not been refurbished but room was adequate enough.had trouble with shower but my friend and I were moved quickly to single rooms in the refurbished part of the hotel.Nothing was too much trouble for Connor on reception and the female receptionist. After I got home realised that I had left my favourite cardigan at the hotel .luckily when I rang it had been found and was posted on to me.food was surprisingly goods during our stay
