“New Year's Eve party 2012/13”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

We were a party of 11 who booked 6 rooms with the hotel for their new years eve party. We were checked into a room that wasn't ready, we were then moved to a second room that had no heating! We were offered a small electric heater or another room, we chose to move a third time to a room with working heating as we were not convinced the heater they wanted to supply would sufficiently heat the room. The room was a nice size with a comfortable bed however there were hairs behind the bathroom door.

The evening buffet that was served was nice, the food was hot and very tasty. However, breakfast was a different matter altogether! We were kept queuing for 45 minutes to be seated as we wanted a table for 2 and the manager on duty in the restaurant saw fit to seat bigger parties 1st.

Room Tip: First floor has no heating!

Stayed at the hotel when exhibiting at the NEC. good hotel, nothing to fault other than the heating does not work. Complained on the first night but never heard anymore.

On my last morning I found a convection heater in the wardrobe. Would have been nice to know !!

Breakfast very good, room was very decent and clean.

Bed was old and had sunken in the middle

Although we only stayed the one night, we had a very comfortable room, unusually a very comfortable bed, and the Breakfast was excellent, the Staff were all very pleasant and helpful, both at reception and during breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

We stayed here on business at a good rate just before Christmas. The standard rooms are very good, clean, quality bed and bedding, large tv, air con etc. The evening food we did not try, but we did have an acceptable lunch in the bar and the breakfast consisted of a large choice of quality food. Maitre d' was friendly and efficient and one had the feeling everything was well under his control. We will certainly be back.

I stayed at the manor during a recent wedding reception fo a work colleague. The hotel is perfectly located in a quiet location that would make it eminently suitable for Birmingham airport and the NEC as well as for exploring the heart of England. Featuring a large, safe car park the hotel is easy to find. Fully equipped with all you would expect of a large, modern business focused hotel and being part of the Best Western group. My room was large, very comfortable and bang up to date with a modern Tv,excellent complimentary wifi and tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was large and very comfy. Breakfast was a commendable buffet affair and was very good. At the price I paid the hotel offers good value for money and overall I would thoroughly recommend it for what it is, an excellently located, clean modern hotel with good rooms, good food and good service.
