“Marvellous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013 via mobile

What an amazing b&b! Clean, friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We were given a very warm welcome on arrival with tea and biscuits and a friendly chat. We stayed in Blueberry which was beautifully furnished and clean. There were bath robes, wine glasses, corkscrew amongst other thoughtful details and a fresh cake each day as well as the usual biscuits. Fresh milk was available in the guest fridge which was a great touch. I cannot stress enough how thoughtful and obliging Janet was. She even provides holistic therapies which is well worth taking advantage of. I would not hesitate to recommend this place and will certainly revisit. It's wonderful.

Myself and my husband had the pleasure of staying here for 2 wonderful nights. We stayed in the Blueberry room, it was fab the bed was amazing and the little extras for example, fresh milk for teas and coffee's, small chocs on the pillows were lovely. The owners hospitality was very good and you were made to feel very welcome. Thankyou

We stayed for one night with our teenage sons, both rooms were lovely, the decor throughout was outstanding, spotlessly clean, comfortable, ensuite, bath robes supplied and our breakfast was freshly cooked with a really good choice from a full english, fresh fruit, crossiants, cereal, toast and jam, omelettes, bacon butties, crumpets, kippers and even more!
I loved the location next to the church it added to the charm of visiting Goathland.
We will definitely come back for another stay but for longer next time!!!!
EXCELLENT!!!!
Our rooms were.........Blueberry and the Gooseberry....

We stayed one night and were impressed straight away. The house was immaculate, and beautifully decorated. The proprietors were hospitable and friendly. Breakfast was lovely. We would definitely go again.

Room beautiful, a comfortable bed, spotlessly clean throughout. Shower modern and clean with decent pressure and hot. The breakfast was excellent, The owners have thought of everything lots of little touches that are unique ie glasses and bottle opener if you want to bring your own wine. The location is quiet situated in a quaint village, perfect for walks on the moors or a short drive into Whitby. Simply the best b&b you will ever stay in, believe all the excellent reviews they are true.

Beautiful setting, warm welcome, spotlessly clean, modern, tastefully furnished interior plus a freshly cooked, hearty breakfast added to the enjoyment of our stay here in the North Yorkshire village of Goathland.
The accommodation also provided many small extras such as fresh milk, water jugs, wifi, TV with SKY,books, DVDS and information on walks in the area.
There is even a steam train which runs from a nearby station to Whitby.
We stayed in the Blueberry Room and were sorry to only be there for one evening!
Would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting the area!

Didn't believe all the excellent reviews could be true but from the moment of arrival we they were.we stayed in the blackberry room which was light, airy beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. The breakfast was varied in choice but as on holiday opted for full English! Locally sourced produce fantastic quality and cooked to perfection.

The owners Janet and Richard were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We cannot say enough of how wonderful the stay was and just how relaxing it made us feel. We can't wait to return. Thank you so much
