The premises are quite new, daily cleaned and in a good condition. Please be aware that the nice pictures are taken in the front rooms. There are also rooms in the back were you look into a backyard with a noisy air-conditioning and extractor device from the restaurant next door. When the devise is switched on (almost every day till 00:30) sleeping is almost impossible.
In the whole building is an uncountable number of cameras watching you. This was really alienating.
The breakfast is only 3.50 and accordingly very poor. They serve two kinds of toast, butter and different kinds of jam, the standard Maltese ham, which is not comparable to continental one, a very cheep soft cheese, cornflakes and one kind of cereals, a kind of orange jus and milk. You may also ask for a tea or a coffee. Usually, nobody took the breakfast although the hotel was fully booked. It was weird when the manager prepared the breakfast itself since he was standing there all the time watching you. Usually, it was done by his wife.
The manager is not easy to deal with. I entirely agree with the foregoing evaluations. Hospitality is something different. He was very much business-focussed and worried about the high electricity costs and noisy guests. The electricity costs might be high in Malta but there are more kind, polite and friendly ways to discuss this issue with the clients.
Finally, I am not sure whether I would book the hotel again. In fact, also a nice place can become quite inhospitable when you get the feeling that you are not welcomed actually. Hence, only two points.
