“Nice pace to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

The family room can accomodate a family of four. The rooms are nice and the garden outside wonderful. Location of the hotel is in the happening Pantai Cenang area . The place offers no food or restaurant but plenty of them are available nearby. Great place at a great price.

I did a lot of research before going to Langkawi and shortlisted this hotel. I stayed there for my honeymoon and got what I paid for. The rooms are big and clean, washrooms satisfactory with hot water facility. The location is excellent if you plan to stay at Pantai Cenang beach most of the time. I did not rent a car for two days and it did not hamper my activities within this area. The staffs are also very helpful (specially the guy at the reception). They do not offer breakfast, but I guess if you have shortlisted this hotel, you already know it and are not bothered as there are lot of food places within walking distance. One minor thing for really picky guys - there is one small garbage disposal place on the main road just outside hotel lane which may bother you if you decide to walk a lot. But then again, such issues may be existing for other hotels in this area as well.

Overall, I recommend this hotel.

Overall, clean room and bathroom. Room was exceptionally dark (poor lighting), only 3 or so local channels on the TV and the air conditioning didn't really work during the hot days but was OK at night. We had a ceiling fan also so this helped during the day. Gardens/lawns were lovely for our small children to play however attracts many mosquitoes so expect many mosquitoes in the room (quite a few bites overnight). Hotel is close to some restaurants, MacDonald's, duty free shops and Underwater world (which is worth a visit). The beach is however a bit of a walk down a long drive way, then across the road, then best to walk down further to the main beach towards the right of underwater world as the beach directly across the road is virtually not suitable for swimming in our opinion. Much better beaches to the north and north west of the island so rent a car (we paid 60 ringgit per day for a small Kancil) and go for a drive. Do pack your own food though as shops suitable for eating outside Pantai Cenang are difficult to find! Overall a good stay in quiet surroundings.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are apparently newer. They also have family rooms with a King and a single.

This small hotel is very convenient for everything, the beach, duty free, shops etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms clean and large with tea coffee making facility. Easy for taxi to airport all in all good value for money.

Room Tip: This hotel has rooms mainly on the ground surrounding a lovely garden, and the rooms have a little p...

The hotel is located conveniently to the beach and town, which are both a short walk past a building under construction. No complaints about the room, it was a little dated, but clean, with working aircon. When checking in, they offered an upgrade to a newer room at the back of the complex, which had newer, nicer fittings, but it was smaller and a bit farther away, so we declined. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Lively big a/c room with TV, kettle, fridge
Can't fault the accomodation, lovely garden
Staff helpful with everything including car hire
Right off the Main Street, beach opposite side of road
The only downside is that a Huge 4storey complex is being built in front of white lodge , but no noise at night
Would definately stay here again

Only downside was the room a/c. We asked to be changed to a room with a working a/c and that was handled without any hassle. However the new room had the same problem. The a/c compressor ran almost all the time and only managed to bring the room temperature down a few degrees after several hours. The power that they are wasting (and paying for!) must be amazing. I think the owners should consider purchasing more efficient units as they would even partially pay for themselves in electricity cost savings. They could charge a bit more and no one would mind as it's such an exceptional value to begin with.

Room Tip: Higher number rooms (20-24) are at the back and a bit quieter but none of the units suffer too much...
