its a safe place to stay near by kuah police station, staff also helpful. In particular Geetha and her friends. Our kids fell sick and she took us to nearest hospital and helped us to buy duty free items like chocolates, etc. Rooms are small but very clean and well maintained. We can hire cars for rental at very cheap rates from RM 50 p/day near jetty point and fuel also economical. So you can roam around the island as you like. If you don't know driving, no worry, Taxi Drivers are very honest in Langkawi, they have fixed rates between distances and will not ask for more. They also bargin with boat operators for island hopping and mangrove tours with best rates. We love Langkawi and We willl stay in this hotel next time....

Room Tip: Book in ground floor or first floor, because you have to carry your luggage to rooms.

This hotel is not totally awful if you just want someplace safe and cheap to lay your head. The location, on a very busy, dirty road across from a dumpy strip-mall, was horrible. We had two rooms and one smelled like garbage. When we asked to change rooms, there weren't any others available. Also, there was a festival next door that involved VERY loud music until after midnight for several nights. This was not mentioned when we booked the hotel. The people at the front desk were very nice, as other travelers have noted. However, they didn't seem to know much about traveler services in the area. I would rather skip Langkawi than stay at this hotel again.

A compact city hotel located in Kuah town. The staff is friendly and willing to help. The room is new, clean and comfortable. It is ideal for a short stay and located within walking distance to the jetty (15-20 min). The night market is only 5 min and McDonald is 10-15min away. Although internet is free but is quite slow. The only bad thing is there is no lift and carrying heavy luggage can be a problem.

Its a small budget hotel, very near to the boat landing station. The rooms are crystal clear neat but very compact, ideal for solo travelers or for couples for short stay. I don't know why they put the wash basin inside the bed room, thereby losing a lot of space. Bathroom is neat and adequately spacious, with a nice rain shower. There is no lift, no restaurant or no laundry services.

There is restaurant "Lata Bali" near to this hotel (towards right side when you exit from the reception) which is a very good option for some drinks & food. For budget food options, walk to the opposite side of the hotel next to the Pizza shop, there is a Nasi Kandar restaurant . The boat landing station is only 5 minutes walking distance away, cross the road and walk to your left side.

Even though it is neat & cheap, I felt little isolated & suffocated there, so will not prefer to stay there again.

A little bit far from the main tourist area. But just opposite there are several restaurants and duty free shops. If you do not mind a short 10-15 mins walk , you can actually get into town , where are the more duty free shops , restaurants and the night market. The rooms was clean, comfortable , well kept and reasonably priced. The staff was helpful. On the whole, we had a pleasant stay.

A little bit far from the main tourist area, your are a minutes walk away from delicious restaurants full of friendly local patrons. Take a five minutes walk to Kuah's restaurants, duty free shops and markets, or walk five minutes in the other direction to romantic oceanside grills.

The hotel staff is super friendly and the rooms are clean, comfortable, well kept and reasonably priced.

This is a great place if you want somewhere a bit more private than a hostel but not as expensive as the resorts.

This small hotel just 5 minutes in a taxi from the Langkawi Ferry Terminal is small and rooms on two floors only. We took a first floor Deluxe Room for 128 Ringit nightly - when available we could have save more by taking a standard room at 98 Ringit. Our Room had a third bed also and very comfortable, LCD TV, Hot Shower, Air Con and WiFi. Spotlessly clean.

Very polite and helpful Reception - a Clean sandy beach is about 5 mins walk. Taxis around Kuah cost 6 Ringits (about £1.50) including back to the Ferry Terminal. don't order from the Hotel though as that results in paying an additional 4 Ringits - their cut!

There are plenty of cheap breakfast places around. Try the Roti Channai (a kind of pancake) served with a small bowl of curry sauce. Goes down nicely with the local coffee. The Hotel has no catering facilities.

We used this as an alternative to the Thai Visa run of cramming into a mini bus and do the round trip at the Land Border. We left the Car in the free Car park on the Thai side at Satun then the 1 hour Jet Foil (300 Baht OW) Staying longer on Langkawi we would recommend Cennang Beach, a 25 minute taxi ride from the Ferry but just 5 minutes from the Airport. Worth renting a motor Cycle to explore the Island - unlike Thailand full insure is mandatory. The is a very good cable car with wonderful views. All in all a very nice Island, not quite as shambolic as Thailand but without the entertainment.

Room Tip: Always ask to see the room before committing.
