“excellent accommodation in aegina , Greece”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2012

highly recommend these apartments, they are modern , spacious, high ceilings with balcony.
excellent value for money. we looked around the island in a few hotels most were very dated. these are the best available on the island of Aegina.

there is wifi, swimming pool, some of the staff speak English, very friendly.

it's very peaceful, quiet , highly recommend.

the breakfast is ok.

Very bad value for money. The owners are there for the quick buck.

Simple. clean and peaceful. Pool is well kept and uncrowded. I really enjoyed the fact others staying were all Greek tourists, mainly families. If you take the bus from Aegina, don't forget to ask the driver to stop at the first stop in Perdika, otherwise you will need to walk back up the hill. Cooking facilities are limited - two rings only, but adequate for a pasta and sauce or something. However, there is a full sized fridge and the poolside bar organsies meals from a local resturant. We didn't have it, but breakfast looked very good. The proprietors were unobtrusive, friendly and helpful at all times. The price was also extremely reasonable and it was easy to book by email. All together, excellent and we will definitely return.

We stayed at the Antzo Studios last year as a stop off on a longer island hopping trip and we weren't disappointed. We stayed in the lovely stone rooms with two sofa beds and our kids loved the pool. The atmosphere is informal and relaxed and the studios are popular with local people which we liked as there was often some lively and friendly conversation to be had in the evenings. There is a bus stop across the road which runs into Aegina Town - well worth a trip and the walk down to Perdika harbour is about 15/20 minutes which is punishing in the heat but fine in the evening. The self catering facilities weren't adequate for us - ok for storing snacks but you can't really make a meal and it's hard to make a picnic even - this bumped up the cost of our holiday considerably. We had some problems with not being able to have the air con on while we were out and it took a while to cool down when we came in which in turn made it hard to sleep. This was a hotel policy to stop fire hazards - the electricity cuts out when the door is locked - but it made for some very uncomfortable nights. Otherwise, we really liked it and are considering booking again for next year. Very friendly staff.

We stayed for two nights at the Antzi Studios in November with our young daughter. The room we had was on the top floor in one of the new stone buildings with a lovely view out to the distant bay. Due to low season we were given a very good rate.
Despite being pretty much closed up for the winter we really enjoyed our few nights. Paul was very welcoming and he collected and dropped us off at the port in Aegina. The heating was working fine and we were toasty warm. The cooking facilities were basic but we were not really there to cook. It would be ideal if you had small children and were needing to prepare basic meals for them. Wifi worked well from our balcony. The apartment was spotlessly clean and fresh. It had a lovely spacious feel with high ceilings and open balcony. There is a bus stop and cafe/bar only 50 meters away. A bakery(where bus tickets can be bought) and supermarket about 100 meters. The fishing port and numerous Cafe's and Restaurants about 400 - 500 meters down hill. We ate delicious little fried fish and squid in their Restaurant - Nonta's. Perdika is a gorgeous sleepy little fishing village. We would love to return

My wife and I stayed for 1 night at the picturesque village of Perdika, Aegina. We have always believed that Aegina is an ideal destination for a short stay. We stayed at Antzi Studios. Actually we visited the same place two years ago, but it was in summer time. Although the hotel is peaceful and clean, the service is not satisfactory at all. It seems that these people are totally indifferent whether they have clients or not. The heating system didn't work and when we complained to the owner, he didn't feel like apologising. I feel that when you pay some money - 45 euros per night without breakfast - the least you deserve is a warm room.

I with my wife spent a night in the new rooms of Antzi, "petrina". The room was nice and cosy but the heating was not working properly so it was really freezing and we didn't enjoy our stay. We expressed our dissatisfaction to the owner but he didn't seem to bothered at all. The price, 80 euros, was expensive enough for the period.
