I have visited a few times over the last few years. Normally we try to book when we know there are some bands on Saturday night. The bands are just about ok and t's not the cheapest place to stay, it's very basic accommodation for what you are paying. I guess you are paying for the unique experience of a weekend with like minded people. Personally i am getting too old for camping now so i tend to avoid bike rallies so this is a much more comfortable alternative. The museum is good and worth the couple of Euros or so for a guided tour. The look n cook is a unique concept but I have always found the food OK. We were warned to watch our bills if we were booking drinks to the rooms so I have always just paid cash for drinks and meals. There is nothing much anywhere near this place so you are pretty much tied to whatever is on offer. Worth a visit if you ride a bike.

A great idea and a very interesting experience.
This is not the height of luxury for sure but if you are not looking for en-suite facilities and room service then give this place the once over.
It is great to have the parking for bikes indoors and a nice relaxed atmosphere. The bedrooms were basic in the extreme and the showers are certainly different. This is more like a Youth Hostel or even an indoor camp site than a hotel.
The fella who runs the museum ir really nice and very enthusiastic. He is looking for donations for his collection BTW.
The facilities were clean enough for this type of place our group had a nice time and would certainly consider coming back again.
The Bikers Loft would have had a higher mark had it not been for the negative bits:
The way the food is provided makes it difficult to get full value if you do not eat meat.
The bar staff were not particularly friendly.
We had to wait for the bloke to drive to the Loft to take our money on leaving. Nobody else could take it and he had a nightmare working out our respective bills and grumbled openly to us. All this meant that we only just made our ferry. You have been warned. Leave enough time for your ferry.
Hopefully, he just got out of bed the wrong side and when we return, he will be just like our best mate.
Oh, don't expect a night of passion unless you are not bashful like the brave/drunk couple next to us, the acoustic insulation is non-existent.

We just happened on this brilliant place on the way to the BSB races at Assen.
This place is just about an hour from the Channel Tunnel at Calais.
You get to store your bike indoors, right outside your room. There was a wedding with a rock band the night we stayed, really good.
Food is novel but great. You cook it yourself.
Would deffinately recommend and will go again.

Room Tip: Even though there was a disco on all rooms are well away from the bar so no problem

A group of us stayed for 3 nights and had a brilliant time basic facilities but clean and tidy. The food was really good even though you had to microwave it yourself and was impressed with the breakfast . Towels were provided which is great when you haven't got a lot of room on the bike. We've allready started planning our return trip

Only caters for motorcyclists of any nationality, bike or persuasion. Basic accommodation around the indoor bike parking area and showers, but it is clean and tidy. Complementary Stella on arrival, self catering evening meals (you make your choice from the fridge and then cook it yourself) but a good selection. Usual continental breakfast and self cook bacon and eggs. Ivan the host makes you welcome but his prices have risen over the years. Still a unique experience and convenient for channel crossing, (Calais 60 miles and Ostend on the doorstep)

Complimentary beer on check in was a bonus with Ivan and the company of your fellow guests and craic in the bar make this a great place for Bikers to stop over.
If you're just off the ferry its in an ideal location, especially if you have come a long way thru the UK and a great staging point to start a trip thru Europe.
On the minus side, it isnt the cheapest place, and the fixtures and fitting are pretty basic. Its better than camping dont get me wrong, Rooms are a good size and the bedding is clean, but I would expect a price more in line with the French or Belgian budget hotels for this type of accomadation, I expect the extra cost is for the theme rather than the facilities??

On the whole tho, I loved it and will be going back again soon.
Rock Music, Beer, Good Company all part of the Bikers loft experience.
Happy Days.

Room Tip: Rooms at the end of the row are closer to the loo
