“Highlight of Our Italian Honeymoon!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2014

My new bride and I recently stayed three nights at Castello delle Serre during our two-week Italian honeymoon -- it was one of the highlights of our trip and three nights was not nearly enough time!

The gentlemen who run this hotel -- Sal, Antonio and Mirco -- could not have been nicer and more helpful. They wished us a happy honeymoon upon our arrival and upgraded our room. They also were ready with suggestions and detailed maps for day trips to historic sites, wineries and anywhere else we wanted to go to experience the Tuscan countryside. We had the chance to dine at Castello delle Serre on one of our nights there. Put plainly, Sal prepared one of the best dinners we had in Italy -- dinners at this hotel are not too be missed!!!

In addition to the tremendous individuals at Castello delle Serre, the hotel itself justifies a visit. It is a renovated castle that sits at the top of a beautiful medieval hill town. The pool and grounds are in immaculate shape. Our room was superb. The views of the Tuscan countryside simply are outstanding.

In a nutshell, this hotel proved to be the perfect spot to see the Tuscan countryside. Thank you Sal, Antonio and Mirco for making our visit so special. We look forward to staying with you again soon!

My husband and i were fortunate that friends had highly recommended Castello delle Serre to us for the Tuscany portion of our Italian trip. Our experience at the castle was everything that we could have hoped for. The castle has been beautifully renovated, providing comfort and beauty while maintaining the character and grace of the historical structure. The owners and staff could not have been more gracious and accommodating, both prior to our stay and throughout our time there. They went out of their way to help us through a travel issue that would have otherwise been very difficult. They stepped in and worked through the issues for us which allowed us to continue to enjoy our vacation, which would have otherwise been shortened. We would highly recommend staying at this wonderful castle.

Room Tip: We stayed in a deluxe room which was very spacious, both in the room and bath.

We recently had the pleasure of celebrating our 15th anniversary for three nights at Castello delle Serre! We were astonished by the care that had been given in preserving the structure and essence of the castle. Although completely and beautifully renovated, the castle's charm and surrounding countryside left us enchanted. Sal, Antonio and the staff provide attentive, individualized attention. The meals were lovingly composed and unparalleled! Our only regret was that we could not stay longer!

My Wife and I had the pleasure staying at Castello Delle Serre, what a wonderful experience in this newly remodeled Castello with over 1200 years of history. The Staff was over the top from the time we arrived till we departed Mirco, Antonio and Salvatore good have not provide a better experience of Italy. We had dinner twice and it was absolutely excellent we even had a cooking demonstration which for the cooking enthusiasts was a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this to any Tuscan vacation and trip to Italy a relaxing beautiful place to enjoy the wonders of Italy.

Sometimes I've found that the "amazing" places that are reviewed on Trip Advisor are great....but don't quite live up to the hype. Not so with Castello delle Serre. It truly deserves all of the 5 star ratings it has received.
Your hosts: Salvatore, Antonio and Mirco are wonderful and go out of their way to help you. Their suggested trip itineraries are wonderful and SO much better than ones I'd put together after hours poring over websites and guide books. They'll give you copies of hand-drawn maps to suggested destinations along with recommendations for wine-tastings and lunch. (be aware that you'll need a more detailed map to get to where you're going...but the Castello maps are great at adding detail and making sure you don't miss landmarks that satellite navigation won't give you).
We stayed in the Deluxe Tower Suite which had 3 levels including a private terrace at the top with 360 degree views over the Castello, town and surrounding Tuscan countryside. Definitely a splurge but it was totally worth it.

All in all - this is a lovely place to stay and is close to many of the towns/sights you want to see in Tuscany. It makes an excellent base of operations for your stay.

Room Tip: The Deluxe Tower Suite is amazing.

Haveing stayed at resorts and hotels in over 100 countries Castello Serre is in the top 10 places and will forever be a place we remember with fond memories.

Sal, Antonio and their team know the hospitality business inside-out and have accomplished a hurculian task renovating the castle which will serve all who visit with great pleasure.

Overall an outstanding experence as is, now that Sal, Antonio and the team are 98% compleat with the restoration of the facility, sky's the limit as to where they take Castello Serre Di Rapolano.

A special thanks to Antonio for sharing his knowledge of the area which was impeccable. Follow his lead, he knows just what he's talking about and has visited most every place he recommends.

This place is a dream to be lived by all whom visit.

Well done.
