My husband and I stayed here in July for 6 nights. The service was great, rooms were out of this world and the location was also perfect. A huge thank you to Salvatore and Antonio, but especially Shelley that really helps out with anything you need. They suggested restaurants, places to visit and even called cooking schools for us. The castle is gorgeous! Pictures aren't misleading at all! It's actually quite spectacular in person. Can't wait to go back!

We spent three nights at the castle. We wish it could of been three weeks. When we arrived they were so welcoming. We were treated in such a first class, professional manner. The castle and the grounds are gorgeous. Make sure you sign up for the dinner. You will have the best home crafted meal of your life. The staff feals like family and so helpful. We met really wonderful people that were also staying there. Great location for daily side trips into the countryside. When we go back to Italy, we will stay here. We miss them. Pat and Pam

We stayed at Castello delle Serre and had a lovely few days/nights. I was expecting a huge castle and its not quite that but none the less.. looks good in the pictures but it is a bit misleading which is why I gave it 4/5.
It actually took us a minute to find it because we were expecting a "traditional Castle" and it just not that. It is broken up into sections but not one big castle (but still beautifully renovated).
Our first night we at at the Farm House restaurant down the road and it was perfect. Very cozy with only maybe 10 tables. Very good food as was recommended by Antonio. Breakfast was just okay, not great really, but it will get you through to lunch. Antonio was nice enough to get us on our way in the morning and gave us fantastic recommendations of where to go in the area. We really had no agenda and he pulled through beautifully. We were invited to dinner at the Castle which Sal cooked for us and it was great fun. This is where our stay takes a bit of a turn...
The day after the meal we were to leave for our next destination and my husband dropped the GPS and broke it. We were freaked out (driving in Italy is no easy feat) and Salvatore made us feel very uncomfortable about this situation. He did reluctantly let us use the phone and gave us a map and sent us quikly on our way so we would be out by the check out time. But not before we were charged a heafty amount for the dinner the night before which we were not expecting. We were in invited to dinner and there was no mention of an extra charge. Let alone approximately $100 Euro. Overall the room we had was lovely and clean with a beautiful view, Antonio gave us fantistic recommendations but in the end we left with a bad taste in our mouth even after a good dinner by Salvatore and lovely accommodations.
Notes: there were a few families with small children around the pool and at dinner. They were well behaved so we did not mind. We did get wireless internet in our room since we were close to the free wi-fi room. But I do not believe all of the rooms had this accommodation. This is a great location and you can get to most of the major parts of Tuscan from here. The roads are beautiful and the scenery is breath taking. You do need a vehicle if you are staying here and intend on sightseeing.
Overall I would recommend to a friend.

We recently stayed at Castello Delle Serre for a week and had a lovely time there, it really is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. Salvatore, Antonio and Shelley really couldn't be more welcoming and helpful when it come's to suggestions for places to visit and to recommendation's for places to eat in the evening's. If you get chance to have one of their evening meals then do so as they are an excellent and enjoyable way to spend an evening. We will be going back!
