Set in the hills just above Porto Cervo, the hotel offers remarkable architecture and fully integrated design furniture. Extremely helpful staff. A restaurant with full English breakfast, and high-quality cuisine lunch and dinner. Altogether a lovely experience of Sardinian hospitality. Great value for money.

We stayed here for 2 nights and paid the upgrade for a panoramic view. Sadly what they dont mention is that your view is there but there are also some pretty huge palm trees blocking some of it so you dont get to see much from your room. Still lovely room, nice facilities and great location. Restaurant food was amazing but you should book as eating outside is not an option due to the sheer volume of wasps that are attracted. Be prepared to wait for a seat inside at breakfast and you will be bombarded with wasps otherwise, it is a real shame as eating breakfast whilst enjoying the view is part of the attraction here.

We stayed in Hotel Balocco for part of our honeymoon from 28 September - 6 October and had a Junior Suite. Upon arrival, a bottle of prosecco was in the room to welcome us. Our room was very comfortable with a large balcony overlooking the sea and marina. The room was bright, clean and spacious, with a large bathroom and jacuzzi bath. The hotel itself was set out nicely, with a bar overlooking Porto Cervo. The pool and bathing area was nice and relaxing, with a bar service.

The hotel staff were all exceptionally helpful, courteous and friendly - nothing was too much trouble, which made the experience all the better. The staff were all very cheery with smiles for their guests.

The breakfast, served near the pool, was good and the coffees were great! We also ate in the restaurant a couple of evenings during our stay and the food and wine were both very good.

To top off our week, a further bottle of prosecco greeted us one afternoon on my husband's birthday, which the hotel had noted.

Overall, the week was relaxing, peaceful and thoroughly enjoyable.

I had a junior suite at the Balocco. What I liked a lot was the chilled-out pool area with nice view to Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and the beautiful pavillon for breakfast. I could walk out the balcony door straigt to the pool - only 20m away.
Inside the room I liked that they had energy saving light bulbs, watersaving showerheads and a digital scale as well as a shaving set.
There's still room for improvements in the following areas:
- hygiene (newer toilet brushes appropriate, soap holder at the bidet should contain soap)
- warmer lighting color in bathroom and much more light (was really dark)
- water saving toilets should be installed
- the WiFi problems at the pool and breakfast pavillon should be fixed (3 people with iPads didn't get on the internet)
- room safe should be fixed (it's not good if there are electrical cables hanging out)
- the robe holder between the rooms should get fixed
