“This place is amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

We ate her every lunch for three days in a row and the food was just superb.Everything is homemade and even our dog was fed and watered. The owners are caring and very friendly and make you feel really looked after. Everything from pork baps to the soup to the baguettes were amazing with a special mention going to the desserts which are some of the best we've ever tasted. We will definitely be returning here whenever we are in Newquay.

“Get stuffed!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

Run by local couple Jane and Brian this is one of the best places for a gut-busting breakfast around. All cooked to order the food is exceptional. Have the big breakfast and you won't need to eat agin all day. If you are there later in the day do try one of Jane's home made cakes.....the calories are bouncing around them but they are amazing. Don't walk past - you will regret it.

“Treat yourselves”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

Since my last review myself, family and friends have continued to visit this friendly restaurant. Whereas the hospitality and welcome from Jane and Brian is second to none I want to make specific mention of their Sunday lunches.

Firstly I would recommend that you book although they will do their utmost to find you a table.

As premises are unlicensed there is no objection to you bringing a bottle of wine to enjoy with your lunch.

The Sunday dinner, served by attentive staff, is of generous proportions and is made up from whatever meat you have selected from the choice of the day accompanied by roast potatoes and a good selection of home cooked vegetables.

The desserts are too many to mention but reading any review will inform you of the quality and generous portions. ( they will even box them to take away if need be )

Quite simply you can't go wrong. Nothing is too much trouble.

They also do a meal deal ( £12 a head or thereabouts ) which includes a roast dinner, dessert and a hot drink )

“Cheesecake.....wowsers!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013 via mobile

Me and my boyfriend had lunch here on Thursday. Pot of tea and two baguettes. Beautiful fresh soft bread, all homemade, I had bacon brie & cranberry. We were both full, but then we discovered the fridge with cakes and cheesecakes in it! We both chose the same, lime coconut & calvados cheesecake. It was a large portion (which we both finished) it was the most gorgeous cheesecake I have ever eaten, and I've had a few! Very well done to Brian and his wife, it is a lovely place and we will definitely be back to try more things on the menu, next time we're on holiday in New Quay :0)

“Just a quick drink but a friendly chat too”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

Popped in after reading it was rated no 1 in New Quay, quaint little cafe with lovely chatty owners who made you feel welcome, didn't get to taste any of the cakes but they looked good!! Would visit again.
