Stayed for just the one night with my boyfriend and was pretty disappointed.
For starters, although the room was clean and tidy a lot of things were 'off' about it. No soap in the bathroom which I found very very strange, no back on the remote control so the batteries were exposed, also the stand where the tea/coffee facilities were stored was cracked. Boyfriend found quite a few stains on the carpet also.I personally thought the bathroom was a bit rough too but he didn't seem to notice.
Very far out if you are walking, you'd need to get a taxi from the city or to most locations along the way ie Salthill which cost us approx €10 each way.
Breakfast was ok but the staff weren't very friendly.
Overall, if you're just looking for a bed to sleep in, its ok, but don't be expecting much more than that.

Stayed in this Hotel for 2 nights the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good we ate in the bar 2 nights the service was quick. The facilitys were good the hot tub was very nice and I really enjoyed the use of the swimming pool. The room was very comfortable and I really enjoyed my bed. Overall I had a very nice time to remember during my stay at this hotel I would return another time and recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family.

I stayed there with a group of guys on a stag night. Bar served good food, staff very friendly and efficient. Rooms are very basic, ours didnt have adjustable air-con and the room was far too hot and stuffy. ok for the price we paid though.

I have stayed numerous times at the Clybaun and have found it terrific. Staff are lovely without being in your face, bar food is gorgeous and facilities are practical. Rooms are clean and spacious. Its a pity that the broadband in rooms is so expensive but there is an eircom hotspot in the foyer which allows you to buy a voucher - €5 for half hour compared to €1 per minute in your room. Although it is located outside Galway city there is a great taxi service from reception and it is on a bus route. ample parking right outside the hotel and lovely leisure facilities. definitely recommended.
