“Fantastic time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

We recently stayed at the Bay view for 7 nights and enjoyed every minute.... Lovely hosts Jude and Paul. Beautiful cosy bedrooms with private facilities and their own sun veranda and private entrance. The rooms have flat screen TV, tea and coffee facilities and a fridge, also access to free WiFi. There are fabulous views over the bay and towards the Abel Tasman National Park. We would go back tomorrow.....

Lovely house with two B&B rooms facing the wonderful view of the bay (clue is in the name, I guess!). Each room had it's own small terrace and with the wall-to-ceiling windows drawn aside became an extension of the room itself. Jude & Paul were great hosts and really have their fingers on the pulse on what it takes to run a great & friendly B&B. Lots of good advice and assistance with things to see & do (and they have the most beautiful hound too!) Wonderful beach a mere 5 minutes down the hill and a good place from which to explore Abel Tasman National Park. Key to any B&B review is the quality of the breakfast - and it did not disappoint as Jude conjured up some truly scrumptious breakfasts!

We spent 2 nights here, arriving late after we'd taken the ferry to Picton that morning, followed by a Marlborough Sounds cruise. The lovely warm welcome from Jude and Paul and their beautiful home was just what we needed after such a long day. The guest rooms are gorgeous with stunning views. They've thought of every detail and you feel really 'looked after' from the moment you arrive.
Breakfast was a real treat (real posh nosh!) and Paul and Jude were wonderful hosts. I didn't want to leave. This was my favourite B&B of our 3 week trip and if you have a chance to stay here, either to enjoy the national park, or lounge on the beach, I'd highly recommend it.

Room Tip: From what we saw, both rooms were the same. You won't be disappointed!

We spent 3 nights at Jude's and Paul's B&B just 10 min. walk outside Kaiteriteri. The rooms are great and the views over the Tasman Bay and Kaiteriteri beach are not to be missed. Jude took great care of us, served a fantastic breakfast, provided good advice on where to eat and what to see in the national park and encouraged us to take advantage of their private balcony, so we could enjoy the last afternoon sunshine.

The location is great for exploring the national park. The tour operators will happily pick you up at the B&B, and its only a short drive to where the trips take off.

The café in Kaiteriteri (10 min walk from B&B) serves OK food at OK prices, so if you don't want to drive in the evenings, there is no need for it.

Next time we go back to NZ, we'll for sure stay at Bayview B&B again.

Thank you Jude for your nice breakfast, your service and friendliness!

Greetings
Lone and Henrik, Denmark

We spent two nights here. This is a two storey house of which both guest rooms are downstairs. The room is quite big, clean with a good bed and with a nice view to the ocean. The beach is in 5 minutes down the hill in walking distance.

I celebrated my birthday there and Jude was very helpful to organise a birthday cake with me. We shared our bottle of Champagne with Jude and Paul and had an interesting and good conversation with them.

Our cooked breakfast was perfect. Tomatoes and mushrooms were perfectly cooked and they joined us at the breakfast table and came up with activities and restaurant recommendations.

We would definitely stay here again. Nice rooms, very good breakfast and close to everything but not in the middle of the croud and noise. Jude and Paul were very heartful and helpful hosts.

Our stay in the bayview B&B was perfect right from the beginning - a very warm welcome!! The view accross the sea is breathtaking and it's close distance to the Abel Tasman National Park makes it a perfect choice. The breakfast left no open wishes ;-) If we come back to NZ we definitely come back to bayview.
Greetings Kazja and Patrick

We stayed for two nights . We turned up late due to the distance from the ferry and could not be made more welcome . Jude cooked as superb breakfast the next morning and helped sort out our trip to the park by water ferry . The view from the property is amazing and the rooms very spacious . We saw Jude in the evening for a quick chat and a recommendation for a resturant in Marahau which was lovely . We would recommend this to anyone and wish we had another night just to relax on the beach !!!

Room Tip: Either room is lovely
