“Best Campground In Canada”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

We had the pleasure of camping at the Lost Lemon in August 2013 for almost a week with our son and daughter inlaw and their dog Tucker. Our son and family had a tent and we had our motorhome. We found the people there very friendly and helpful. BUT the things we liked the most was it was so clean, I had to do some laundry there and the facilities were excellent. I have been to other campgrounds and would not think of washing my clothes there because of the dirt of the machines and smell. We had some campers next to us that smoked and left their butts on the ground when they left and the lady in charge was picking them up and putting them in the garbage. She also checked the sites to make sure people picked up after their dogs. We have traveled all across Canada and have never found people so dedicated to their work and keeping things clean for the next camper. If we ever make it out west again the Lost Lemon will be where we will be staying for sure.

I recently stayed at the campground while driving from the coast to Saskatchewan for baseball, then stayed again for a night on the way home. The tenting areas are in a beautiful area by a slow moving river. There was a fire pit for sitting around at night if you desire.(firewood available for sale at office) The pool was clean and a decent size for a small campground. ( I didn't use the pool or hot tub) Washrooms were clean and tidy, and the showers were cheap at 25 cents for 2 minutes. The larger RV spots appeared close together but still had enough space in my book. Yes, the train comes through at various times of the day/night but its on the other side of the river, so it was no big deal to me. There is also a helipad for the air ambulance which came and went a couple of times during my stay. Again , no big deal. This is a clean, well run camp ground with a decent price for a night. I'd stay again in a second.

Room Tip: You can request a tent area that has electricity available. Most spots in the tent areas don't...

Booked a site and phoned back 2 minutes latter to cancel because of some stupid (take your dog out of the park to wizz) policy and was charged 10 bucks! You know all the negative stuff written about them being rude and impossible are all very true! If your looking for Canadian hospitality, don't look here!!!!! BEWARE!!!!! NOT DOG FRIENDLY!!!!!

We were very wary of staying here after reading the reviews here. We even called the campground to discuss them. We were reassured that they weren't representative of most people's experiences and after staying there a few nights, I can honestly say they didn't lie. They do have rules, and they are there to create a nice, quiet, enjoyable environment. However, none of them were unreasonable in my view, or enforced with any extremism, etc. as has been suggested on these boards.

They ask that you walk your dogs outside the gate, and quiet time starts at 11pm. We found both of those to be quite reasonable (in fact, desirable) and had an extremely enjoyable stay. We have two boys, 7 & 9 who are very active and curious. They had a fantastic stay there, and have asked several times since when we're going back.

The campground itself is beautiful, and immaculately maintained. The washrooms and showers are spotless too. The sites themselves are a little tight, but I've been in more cramped quarters than this without a doubt.

The area (Crowsnest Pass) is fantastic too. I had no idea there was so many interesting things to see around there. All in all it was one of our best family trips yet!

This is the second time we have stayed here and neither time encountered any problems. It is very well run and maintained.
The showers are 2 minutes for 25 cents which is the cheapest price we have paid anywhere and the water is hot! Most campsites are 4 minutes for a loonie and where can you find a dishwashing station with hot and cold running like the one in your own home.
We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.
My advise if you don't want to abide by the campground rules then find somewhere else to stay as this campground wants all campers to have a great experience.

This Campground is just beautiful and very clean. The amenities are great and our campsite was right on the river as you can see from the pics. The hosts were very friendly and willing to help. The price was reasonable and we would definatly stay here again. There are train tracks right behind you but it was not an issue for us as we only heard them a couple of times a night and went right back to sleep. Nice quiet park other than that. Great fishing. Heated pool and hot tub. Fifty amp sites. There are rules that you must follow for obvious reasons. great park.. highly recommend a stay.

Room Tip: overall everywhere was nice but the rivers edge was the best.
