“Nice place to hang out!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

If you got time, don't miss this park. It's a nice place for a change, you can jog, cycle or just wander around. At the time I was there, there was a pretty cool set up of a joint designers/artists project. It was a great place to explore. It looks like a neat forest, the trees are beautiful. There are a couple of restaurants there and few places to grab a snack from.

“Must see when you're around”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

Though it's not very spectacular, you've got to see this when you're in the area, it's pretty much the only thing to see. There are a couple of nice restaurants with view from the hill on the "drielandenpunt".

The history of the place before the EC opened the borders. The atmosphere is relaxed. nice souvenir shops and food stalls.

“Are you in NL, B, or D?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

If you're visiting Holland, Belgium or Germany, you'll have to pay a visit to the Drielandenpunt which is essentially a matching point between the three countries. Now practically, you won't see much of Germany because of the heavy trees, but you'll see part of Belgian as well as Dutch landscape. It's beautiful. The restaurant downstairs too is delicious, you'll have to try the raspberry (not sure) pie, I'll post its photo because I can't remember the main ingredient * blush* but I definitely remember the delicious taste. Enjoy it for me!

“Espacially Nice for Non-Europeans”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

In North America there is not a single 3 countries point, in Asia most of them are guarded by military and remote, in Africa some of them are in unsafe areas...

Well, if you are not from europe, you haven't seen something like this propably. This one is conveniently located near a major city, reachable by walking (not in a river or lake) - and you even dont need a passport to roam around that place. In Germany there is only one more 3 countries point that is reachable without a boat: DE/AU/CZ about 40km off Passau.

I like how every country represents itself:
- NL: Only 3-cpuntry point, highest "mountain" -> big parking, labyrinth, restaurant...
- BE: A french fries stand, also beer available there.
- DE: 1 of 7 3-country points, yet another tiny hill, just oak forest ;-)

What I dont like is that the watchtower and the labyrinth is more expensive than the tower of cologne cathedral!!!
