I read previous trip advisor comments about this hotel and dreaded going. We booked this hotel 1 year in advance for the 2010 grand prix in Belgium.
We arrived and got a warm welcome from the owner Regis, the hotel itself is no travel lodge or holiday inn. The hotel is unique in a sense where the interior is like it's a mini museum to racing, the walls have racing suits, tyres etc.
Ther is no menu, the food is served when you want it at night which is 3 courses with wine. Every night we had excellent food and the choice of wine on the table was first class. On the 2nd night we had Italian red wine from jarno trulli.
The biggest surprise was the day before the race, hakki kovelinan and his team were eating at the next table. Over the years most teams have been in the hotel, in fact one of the lotus crew was staying in the hotel.
The hotel is a 1.8k walk to the track, this beats the traffic jams and is a pleasant walks.
The rooms are basic but clean.
In all I enjoyed the stay, and would like to thank Regis and his staff for a great stay.
