“Wonderful hotel, great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012

We spent two nights here, also visiting Segesta. The hotel is beautifully situated, with comfortable rooms, good swimming pool, and great food. Staff were very helpful and welcoming.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, and it is easy to find. It is designed with luxury in mind. The staff are office staff are attentive and friendly, but the waiters are not (yet?) well trained. We were not presented with a wine list until we asked for one, and we had to ask for a spoon for the soup! The food was average, not more. The large rooms are comfortable and pleasant, but there are two small twin-bedded rooms that are cramped and should be avoided. There appears to be a problem with the water supply - other guest too have noticed that the hot water comes out brownish. It would be useful if the batroom had a shelf or cabinet for toiletries. All in all we enjoyed our stay, the price was reasonable, but the hotel has the potential to be really first class if the staff were trained a little more and the physical details were fixed - pity.

Room Tip: avoid the twin-bedded rooms, and the ground floor room by the patio

Scenic setting 8km from Greek temple at Segesta which enables an early morning or evening visit when the crowds are low and light is good. Beautiful vistas from the various terraces. 4 star luxury surrounded by vineyards. Peaceful with comforatble, spacious rooms. Common areas with high celinigns are atmospheric. Buffet breakfast with hot items (eggs & bacon) and local craft cheeses was delicious. Room 79 Euro was fair. HOWEVER dinner in the restaurant was not good and very expensive. It was in a lovely room. My advice is to go into town for dinner.

We loved this hotel! Upon check-in, we asked about a store to replace our power supply that died. The gentleman gave us recommendations and even printed maps for us to use. Now that is service! He also directed us to the temple, which was just a quick drive from the hotel.

Our room was extremely large, comfortable, clean and just plain gorgeous! It had an old-world feel, but with modern comforts. The property was quite lovely (although they should consider changing the pool furniture, as it didn't really fit the style of the hotel).

Dinner was quite reasonable and very good. Breakfast was hearty; one of the best we had in Italy. I am truly looking forward to another stay here.

The hotel is located in a rural area, close to the magnificent Segesta site. Very nice, large rooms with a view over the countryside. The central courtyard is a lovely place to sip wine and dine. The reception desk personnel were helpful and pleasant.

The kitchen seemed to be having problems while we were there -- some dishes were way below average and service was a bit slow.

Driving from the East Coast of Sicily...it was a bit of a trick finding this hotel. It is tucked back from the main street. People are friendly to help you find the way.
Some rooms have views of the ruins...we didn't know to ask for this. Nice garden area to walk in the mornings. The hotel interiors display a variety of art, and offers a decent breakfast. Clean and comfortable.

The location is very good, centrally between Palermo And Selinunte. At the foot of the mountains near Segesta en close to the seaside (Castelmare del Golfo).
A good hotel, a nice restaurant, quiet/spacious rooms and with adequate facilities. It was always nice to return to the hotel after a day of sigthseeing.
