this is a nice stopover hotel, not to far away from the AutoRoute.
Clean and affordable, the receptionist was professional.
The room was basic but clean and hygienic.
The bed was comfortable and bathroom was in order.
There was no noise during the night and check-in/check-out was smooth.

only downside was the lack of enough parking spaces in front of the hotel.

Three of us used this for an overnight stop whilst driving back up through France. This was modern well lit building in an industial estate. Arriving at around 11.00pm, the reception was manned and helpful. The room was basic but clean, everything expected was there. The beds were reasonably comfortable, as was the temperature, and there was no noise though the night. For the price this was everything you could expect.
The big watch out here is that there are 2 IBIS hotels with essentially the same name at L'Isle d'Abeau. This is not the one with the red sign visible from the motorway, this is the IBIS BUDGET, which has blue signage and is about 10-15 minutes away from the other one.

Room Tip: We were at the far end of a corridor which may help keep noise down

The room was clean and as described. However there was constant noise from other guests throughout the night and from a group of men who were stood outside the hotel talking and shouting at each other for a couple of hours after midnight - nothing was done to stop this. Distressingly during the night someone opened the door to the room I was in and attempted to walk in - the person stopped when I woke and shouted. Immediately afterwards they tried to enter the room my wife and children's were in -opening the door - even though it was locked shut. How was this possible with the code system ? When I told the person on reception in the morning he just shrugged his shoulders and claimed not to understand. Also, on arrival there were two men sitting in a car outside the hotel who (in my children's view) were behaving suspiciously and looked intimidating - they were clearly not guests - they sat outside the hotel for over an hour before driving away.

I can recommend this hotel to anyone working in the surrounding industrial estate that just wants the cheapest possible room for the night and is not too fussy. Anyone on business or looking for some level of service I would suggest you stay away. I have attached some pictures of the reception and the restaurant to allow you to make a decision yourself.

Located in an industrial estate miles outside of Lyon the best way to describe it would be a run down student hall of residence. Uncomfortable beds, unfriendly service and definitely a new low in no frills. Most disappointing for us was being kept awake by the water tank and the fact that the internet didn’t work because the owner had not paid the bill.

Avoid at all costs.
