The single scariest thing about this hotel is that it markets itself as somewhere you might stay for Eurodisney (it's 10 minutes on the train). If I showed up here with a family, I wouldn't be feeling much like enjoying the magic kingdom...
It's difficult to find much positive to say about this hotel - my room was one of the bigger ones (lake view, with balcony) so it wasn't cramped at least, but the lack of air-conditioning made it very, very hot in the afternoon. People I was travelling with were in 'standard' rooms and they were much smaller and even more depressing.
In detail then - the service was grumpy and slow, the restaurant and terrace never opened, we managed to drink the bar dry on Sunday night - and not because we had a heavy session, but because they only had 3 beers, 1 Coke and 1 glass of wine left. The room was just about acceptably clean but lacked coat-hangers (which never showed despite being requested) and the shower was broken so was only really usable for those under 4ft. And the housekeeping staff commited the cardinal sin - knocking and entering the room to 'check the cleaning' while I was in bed, asleep and with the 'do not disturb' sign on the door.
Location? Poor. The middle of a housing estate - there is a street of restaurants about 10 minutes walk from the hotel (handy, when the hotel restaurant never seems to open), but they're not great and it's not an exciting place to be.
One good thing is that the hotel is 10 minutes from Torcy station - so it's only 20 minutes (and 5 Euro) to Paris. And the good news about that? If you really, really have to be in this bit of Paris, you can stay in the centre and get the train out here.
The final scary thing? This is an 'apart-hotel'. So you can book in for a long-term stay here (the rooms have hot plates and fridges in a mini-kitchen). Oh my.
I've stayed in lots of average hotels around the world and a few great ones. This is the worst.
Do yourself a favour. Stay somewhere else.
