I stayed at this hostel in May this year (2004)
I had never stayed in hostels in France before and i was very disappointed.
The hostel is far away from all the sights of Paris and in an area well-known among Parisians as being dodgy.
To get there you must either take a dodgy RER ride and then a bus journey where the driver may just drop you off in a dogdy housing estate. The second option is an hour long metro ride from the main sights of paris.
The surrounding are of the hostel itself is ok, however i wouldn't recommend being out much past 6pm. There is a macdonalds over the road, however you do get the feeling you aren't wanted in this area by the local people.
The rooms aren't very comfortable. They weren't really clean and the window and taps in the "bathroom" were broken.
If i had known what i know about this hostel i wouldn't have stayed there. Please take my advise and go elsewhere. Obviously it would be ok for some people but i wouldn't recommend girls going here alone.
