My boyfriend and I stayed for a week from the 5th -12th August. We had a fantastic time. The hotel is suitable for any age. We are both in our twenties and didn't feel the hotel was more suited to an older couple. There were plenty of people there younger than us.

The hotel is very clean. The rooms are lovely. The balcony was huge. We didn't pay for a sea view and we did not regret that as the view looking over the resort was lovely.

The resort itself is small but there are plenty of bars and restaurants that are pretty much on the doorstep.

We found the food to be really good. We stayed full board and ate every meal at the hotel. We had no complaints. We did not experience the waiters taking the plates away before we had finished and we never once felt like we were being rushed. The restaurant is buffet style but there is also a chef who cooks to order. He is great. Very friendly and his food is delicious no matter how busy he is. Another mention is to the restaurant manager Thomas. He is also incredibly friendly and always has time to make sure that everything is to your satisfaction. He does his job very well. I came across no unfriendly or rude staff.

All in all we had a fantastic time and don't have one single complaint. I would happily return.

My boyfriend and i, Both in our 20s, came here last october for a week. We got a really cheap last minute deal and arrived here about 1 in the morning. We was amazed at how lovely and clean the hotel was and when we got to our room we couldn't believe how big it was! They had left us sandwiches and yogurt in the fridge for our arrival. When we went down for breakfast in the morning we came to realise we was easily 40 years younger than everyone else! And we felt so uncomfertable we asked to change hotels. They told us we would have to pay the difference so we stayed! We got used to it and by the end of it we really enjoyed it. Food was lovely and loads of choice.

Location was ok.. very quiet with only a couple of bars and a small beach about 5 mins walk away. So in evenings we got a taxi to route 66 or a busier town near by.

Overall it was a lovely hotel with a lovely swimming pool and gorgeous scenery, it was super relaxing but wouldn't recommend if you dont want to be surrounded by o.a.p's

Just returned from a week at the L G and could not really fault it.Food fresh and plentiful with lots of choice. The hotel was clean and tidy as was our room which was on second floor, overlooking the town.if I had any gripes it would be about the speed waiters clear plates ,and the wearing of long trousers in the restaurant in August .( decent knee length would do). Would return.

Well you get what you pay for. Nice views and good sized bedrooms. Food average. Service average. I know it sells itself as a quiet adults only hotel but it could do with a bit of subtle background music around the pool bar. Cheesy entertainment at night but then again you are in Tenerife! The glass walls around main pool and main bar are a big issue. Totally inadequate and holes in the flooring where they've taken old walls down. My husband chair leg went in a hole in the veranda by the main bar are and he almost toppled into and through the flimsy glass wall. Very dangerous. Staff in general not very happy or particularly helpful. Ok for a cheap short break. The fantastic Restaurante El Rincón de Juan Carlos was the highlight for us and the dolphin watching was good.
Would rate as a good 3 star ***

A friend and I visited this Hotel for a week , and had a very relaxing time .
With amazing views and wonderful service people of any age can enjoy their stay .
We went half board and drinks etc were very reasonable , surrounding the hotel are great bars and restaurants for lunch and drinks after dinner .
Would highly recommend taking a boat trip , we saw bottle nose dolphins and pilot whales on ours.
There are a few niggles that need updating at the Hotel but nothing to put you off .
Would recommend to everyone.

My wife and I have just returned from a two week holiday at LG and had a fabulous time. We would agree with most peoples comments about the stunning location and views, the sunset over the sea is amazing. However the resort is very small and hilly with nowhere flat to walk especially after the evening meal, it's either uphill or downhill. We were disappointed not see any whales or dolphins from our 5th floor seaview balcony as previous reviews say they have although we did go on a boat trip from the marina and saw whales further out to sea which was brilliant. We mainly used the smaller swimming pool at the side of the hotel which lovely and peaceful (no children!) the nicest pool we've ever used and very clean. The restaurant was really good with an excellent choice of food but we did notice that some of the fresh displayed was past it's best. The rule about men having to wear long trousers for the evening meal seems a bit unfair when women are allowed to wear shorts, The housemaids work very hard and kept our room spotlessly clean. We agree with most people that it's a shame the bathrooms were not upgraded when the refurb was done and yes the infamous shower curtains were a nuisance. We did go on a few trips booked through the Thomson Reps but they were very expensive with hidden extras e.g. We booked the half day Mount Teidie trip and then found the cable car was not included and cost another 52euros! Some trips are very early starts leaving at 7am and picking up at loads of other hotels. All in all we had a lovely holiday and would definitely reccomend this hotel.

Room Tip: High seaview room

I chose this hotel due to having a look around at Xmas and thought it was stunning and as I was travelling on my own ( hubby in Oz) it felt extremely safe and we knew the area was peaceful and charming. I spent 2 weeks from July 25th and it was very quiet and relaxing. I had a 5th floor room overlooking the town and harbour much better and cooler than sea view ones. The room was clean modern and fresh with a comfortable double bed, double wardrobe, lovely furniture and great free air con. Flat screen TV with 5 UK channels. You can't hear the noise from the town very much with the doors closed and I slept really well with no noise from other guests at all, perfect. The staff are amazing especially Thomas the head restaurant manager such a lovely caring man he made sure I felt right at home and always made sure everything was ok. Food was good lots to choose from breakfast was really good and when there aren't many that stay full board we ate at the pool bar which was lovely also. The salt water large pool is amazing love the big slope that you can just sit and cool down in it was really clean and the smaller pool looked good too. Loads of sun loungers many empty all day. It was so peaceful sometimes all you could hear were the waves on the rocks down below. The Thompson reps are great and do loads of activities for anyone wishing to join in but no pressure. I used the spar and had a body scrub and it was wonderful. It's in a great location with fabulous views and would really recommend this hotel to all ages. I have already booked for me and my husband for next August. We have travelled all over the world and it's one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Looking forward to returning.
