This hotel should have everything to please. The location, the rooms, the potential is there. It however shows you why service and hospitality management is crucial for creating satisfied customers. The room lacked the correct soap and shampoo bottles you can expect when you pay 370CHF per night. The reception was empty from personel 85% of the time we passed by. Once we did figure out who was a guest and who was hotelpersonel we realized the clients where more helpful when asking questions. On the second evening of our three day stay we where sitting in the bar waiting for someone to light the candle until I went to an empty table where there where two candles where burning already. This is a help-yourself hotel. The personel is not smiling. Never ask you if you had a good night at breakfast. Move your key around the tables when you have chosen your seat because they want to reorganize. They eat in the bar in front of the clients. Sit down and smoke while working and talking with visiting friends. There is no management. No person seemed to be responsible for anything. The owner should hire a senior service person.
I cannot recommend this place and it is sad since it should be able to be a wonderfull place. Is the owner interesetd in selling? I might find a buyer.
