I have eaten in top restaurants the likes of Daniels, Per Se and Jean George in New York and equally fine restaurants in Paris, London, Milan et al. Most of which are in great cities and fine dining is expected. But! In a small town of Guardiagrele with 4,000 inhabitants one finds dining at the same level? It's incredible and at a fractional cost. Don't order from the menu, just have owner and chef Peppino Tinari recommend a tasting menu of many traditional dishes from the area and make sure you also have him recommend with every dish a local wine.
Include in your tasting Pallotte Caio e Ove.
This place was totally unexpected and an unbelievable experience in fine dining.
Will revisit it again.
