“Good 2nd stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014

Stayed again here at start of march for 4 nights, it's just as I remembered it!
Booked room only and had breakfast on the mornings I wanted it. The breakfast has been improved since I last came, more selection with some hot options.
Free parking.
Good large rooms with a good bathroom, free wifi throughout hotel.
You need a car if staying here.
Will definetly return.

The hotel is quite acceptable as it has everything we needed. The breakfast is a bit basic if you don't choose the full one but it is up to you. The room clean and had everything we wanted.

The staff were really good. Reception staff gave us ideas where to visit and helped to sort out a flight booking I needed to change. (He printed off my revised ticket even though it took him ages to get the pdf to be accepted on the computer at reception.)

There is a free ice machine at reception which we found invaluable! We didn't eat evening meals at the hotel because we wanted to try the local restaurants and they were also very good. Busses ran into the town regularly and were very cheap. It was much easier than taking the car in!

All in all, if you just want a clean, friendly hotel to use as a base, it is great. Don't expect it to be something it isn't and you will be fine.

Room Tip: Views over the mountains are obviously better on the third floor but don't expect wildebeest roa...

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Posadas de Espana in Campanillas, Malaga. I found the staff very friendly and helpful, check in was very efficient. Breakfast was reasonably good and very similar buffet to the Ibis Hotels in Spain. A lot of the reviews say that you need a car, well that may well be correct if you are exploring the surrounding area but not necessary if you want to go into Malaga itself. The No. 25 just outside the hotel goes into the Centre of Malaga every 15/20 minutes and is punctual and pretty cheap at euro 1.30 per person. I defy anybody to find parking in the city centre for that sort of money. The buses drop you off practically in the Centre and go as far as the Port and the beautiful Parque de Paseo near to the bottom of the Alcazabar and the Old Town. We went in everyday with no trouble at all and it only takes 20/25 minutes and far less hassle than trying to take you car and negotiating all the road works in the centre. Now back to the hotel, the rooms were cleaned everyday and towels and also sheets I think were changed and soap and gels replenished, I could not fault the cleaning. I have forgotten already the chap's name at breakfast but he was extremely helpful. Overall excellent budget hotel and I would certainly stay again if in the area. The area of Campanillas is a 5 minute walk away were there are excellent bars, restaurants, bakeries and all the amenities you would need.

Room Tip: We were in an end room on floor 2, 208 and the room was very spacious and quiet with not a sound fro...

We stopped here for 2 nights prior to flying from Malaga to the United States in August 2013
We wanted a hotel close to the airport and away from all the Costa del Sol tourists and this place was just the ticket.
The location is not great for a vacation but provided exactly what we needed in a clean modern hotel with a nice quiet pool with the airport within easy reach.
The hotel restaurant was unfortunately closed during our stay which was a little inconvenient, but for two nights we were able to manage easily enough.
It provided a perfect place to chill out and relax to get in the holiday mood before our flight and I would definitely use this hotel again before long haul flights from Malaga

I stayed in this hotel in August 2013 having had to leave some other less than good accomodation (Alora Yurts- please see my other review). We were very glad to arrive at the hotel and really enjoyed our stay. Reception staff were very courteous and helpful. The rooms we had booked were cleaned to a very high standard and this high standard of cleanliness was well maintained throughout our three day stay. The pool and pool area were clean, tidy and quiet even though the pool was clearly well used by hotel patrons. We booked to have breakfast and I would highly recommend this- there was a very good choice of food and the breakfast staff were polite and most welcoming. The breakfast service and food assortment actually exceeded our expectations. This hotel is an easy journey from Malaga so an ideal base from which to travel in that area. The local town of Campanillas is also well worth seeing- there is a good assortment of shops and cafes.

I certainly intend to return to this hotel next time I am in the area.

booked here last minute..needed a hotel 'near the airport'

I was first met by Yolanda at reception who was so rude i had to ask her at least three times to stop speaking to me the way she did.
She could not find my reservation and as i had been traveling well more searching to find this hotel i did not have time to print my booking confirmation.. She was extremely unhelpful,in the end i had to get my partner to book the room with her instead i could not as she had upset me that much.

the room was small,no restaurant available, a small petrol station is located beside it but be prepared to eat pizza's cooked from the freezer! There is a pool which is very deep but this is the only upside to here. taxi to here costs 35-40 euros

would highly recommend anybody to STAY in Malaga City instead of here not worth the hassle traveling/searching for here and def not worth walking around an Technology Park/Industrial estate for any sort of civilization!!

i was aware it was outside of the city but its not until you actually get here you realize where you've booked there is nothing out there without walking around like a headless chicken

other hotel staff seemed fine however i did not chance any other encounters !!

Room Tip: dont book here!

The cost was reasonable, Hotel is located 20 minutes driving from airport. Good location if you rent a car as there is plenty of free car parking The room was quite large. Staff varies from very helpful to extemly clueless.

If you book breakfast in advance is 6 euros, and 9 if you book after checking in, it wasn't the greatest breakfast so we had it just once. The coffee is pretty good and it costs 1.3 euros which I thought reasonable.

The pool is not the best you can see, quite deep for children (minmum 1.5 m), and not many chairs, small umbrellas so you need to move as sun is moving.
