First holiday away with my boyfriend and it was fab.
The villa was immaculate when we arrived; all bedrooms are well sized and well fitted. The bed in the master bedroom was lovely and comfy and there is ample storage space, drawers and a big wardrobe with a safe inside, it also has a neat little balcony with table and a couple of chairs.
There are 2 bathrooms the upstairs fitted with a good size tub and a shower, again lots of drawers for all your toiletries, a hair dryer and bath towels were provided. The downstairs didn’t get much use but again decent size with a shower. Couldn’t stay too long in the shower as the water runs cold fairly quickly.
The kitchen was very well equipped, electric oven with extractor a dishwasher, coffee maker and microwave, BIG fridge. Loads of pots, pans, utensils and plates for when bigger parties stay.
Dining space was well thought out, big table with lots of nice touches to the space.
The living/computer area was good, comfy sofas and a TV set up with English channels. The hifi system was great because we had the speakers outside (where we spent most of our time) plugged my Ipod straight in which was really useful as we had music on throughout our holiday. The computer is wifi ready and fairly recent. A good guest book with loads of useful numbers/menus/tourist destinations.
The pool area was my favourite, we had bbq's outside a lot and lounged round the pool, there were lilos and pool toys provided.
Washing machine and drying facilities on the roof terrace, loungers also on top.
The weather was lovely for the first few days, the last couple unfortunately it rained but we wanted to go when the weather wasn't too hot so as expected.
We did not hire a car when we arrived in Spain and it is certainly needed. The villa is about 20 minute walk to the nearest shops.
There is a good supermarket where we got all our groceries; the cashiers speak a little English so we got on fine. There are a couple of English bars, a couple of restaurants. A fish and chip shop of all things. The tourist information is across the street and the police station. We wanted to get to a place called Santa Polo which had a beach, between the two of us and a Spanish phrase book we failed. The taxis do not speak English at all and the lady at the tourist information desk wasn't any more help.
There are a lot of lovely restaurants and a bigger supermarket about 35 minute walk away. We ate a place called the Steak House which was wonderful, Pisa which is Italian and the staff cannot do enough for you. Loads of places to try if you can manage the walk.
Would certainly go back but we would definitely hire a car.
The outdoor area with pool and bbq was fab.
The location was a little remote, would definately reccomend car hire.
