“James Bond?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

On arrival you view a stunning modern building which gets even better when arriving in the reception area. You can imagine the Dr No or Goldfinger movies being shot here against the spartan but stylish 1960 european architecture. Yes, the place has, as a result, a somewhat modern museum atmosphere as the reception area's and other halls and corridors are huge and long. Service is OK but remember this is still a 100% state owned parador so staff (with effective lifelong employment contracts) possibly do not feel the need to make the extra effort. The rooms are very nice with great views either over the golf course or (at extra cost) with sea view. The golf course itself (the european tour played here for the Spanish Open spring 2013) is very nice but plays long so expect to be challenged. All in all certainly worth your while to visit this place!

Newly built Parador built in a national park south of Valencia. Great for a stopover on a trans iberian journey. Friendly staff. Quite expensive as Paradors go and a 40 Euro supplement for a room overlooking the sea. Our bathroom had an ENORMOUS bath which I found somewhat at odds with the notice about keeping your towel if you were satisfied that it could be reused in order to save water!! Not very environmentally friendly! Breakfast was copious and well organised.

The hotel is located at the golf course and has parking about 100 yards from reception. The rooms are nice but feel a bit cold and clinical, the hotel is quite noisy and I could hear the TV and conversations from other rooms, not what you expect from a top hotel

What a faboulous hotel in the national park. The golf course was challenging and very well kept. I would recommend an early tee off in the summer at this Spanish Open hosting course. Half price if you are a hotel guest, so €52 off.
The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom as well. I stayed in room 111 without a sea view, but catching the afternoon/evening sun.
The breakfast wasn't included and €18pp was a little steep I thought, but it was a well equipped Spanish breakfast, with excellent sweet stuff, including Horchata and Fartons!
Most staff don't speak English, so best to brush up on your Spanish.
Loved my stay

This five year old hotel is clean and clinical but is only in existence for golfing. The concept of Paradors for travellers has been lost with this one and I have to question the reason for allowing it to retain its title. I am sure that for golfers this is a great base with facilities to leave the golfing "widow" and family by the pool or in the Spa! The pool was very basic and access to the beach good but lacking in style. Food was good for dinner but breakfast standard and again, very efficient and clinical.
Would not advise travellers to stay over on their journey as out of the way and not worth the effort.

Clean classical forms. Appartments newly renovated very much in style with the orginal architecture and very elegant. Service very friendly. Location is great, a small oasis in the otherwise crummy surrounding of the coast south of Valencia.
Only the contemporary additions at the pool and at the playground were not quite in style and did not quite meet expectations.

This is the second time we have visited this hotel and again a little disappointed with the lack of staff and ambiance. The golf was great as we went with a group of 12 people but decided to eat out in the evening and not in the hotel to get a better feel of the area, Unfortunately our night time sleeping was absolutely ruined by the noise of the machines being used all night to scare the birds away from the rice fields!! The receptionist had little sympathy when we questioned the banging all night! It did spoil my husband's golf the following day as he is a very light sleeper!

Room Tip: There was no room on the seaside available on our special price - if we had known about the noise we...
