We ate at Faro's twice during our stay in Menorca. Great location, with lovely views across the sea, and friendly staff. On our first visit we both had the menu del dia, which at €21 each for 3 courses, bread, and a half bottle of wine or Cava, was good value, although the choice was a bit limited, especially the starters. I had chicken croquettes, as there wasn't another starter I fancied, they were OK but rather too filling for a starter. I had lamb chops for the main course, the saute potatoes and salad with them were very good but the chops were overcooked and rather tough. My husband had swordfish, with chips and salad, which he enjoyed. We were offered a liqueur on the house when we asked for the bill, which was nice.
We went for the a la carte menu the second time, which is a lot more expensive. I had lemon sole and my husband had pork fillet in pepper sauce, the food was OK but expensive for what we got. We asked for house white wine which we were told was a Chardonnay, in fact it hadn't arrived by the time we finished our starter and we had to ask again, the waiter had forgotten. When it arrived it wasn't a Chardonnay, but it was nice wine!
We weren't over-impressed with any of the restaurants in the Binibeca area, they were all over-priced and the food wasn't that great, but we would go back to this one.
