“Country villa; Malpensa convenience.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

Whether you've just arrived or preparing for your departure flight, this wonderful yellow villa is the place to be. Located just 3 minutes from the airport you feel like you're miles away in the countryside. Friendly staff, the hotel dining room was quite good, and the patio was a good spot for a glass of wine. Excellent breakfast. Needs some re- furnishing in the rooms which are quite large.

Room Tip: Ask for a superior double room that is on the front of the hotel.

It looks grand from the outside, but is rather ordinary once you are inside. The modernization is flashy and sterile...a Las Vegas wannabe. The room was acceptable, though don't bother with the view- you get a parking lot or dreary poolside settings. The bathroom was quite large compared to the size of the room. The soundproofing was effective- we were surprisingly not bothered by air traffic noise. The restaurant for dinner was overpriced, but the food was good as was the service.

We stumbled on this gorgeous hotel when looking for a place close to the Malpensa, Milan airport. It is just minutes away (and has a shuttle) and it is wonderful.

The restaurant offers delicious food for lunch and dinner. (And they gave us free wine!).

The prices were reasonable, particularly for such a beautiful spot.

There's no question this is a magical place and definitely the place to stay if you are flying out of Malpensa.

Room Tip: Call ahead for the shuttle to the hotel from the airport. Don't take a cab.

This hotel was a good bet for us. First time stay. Booked the for the day prior to our next morning flight out of Malpensa. The advertisement of the hotel was accurate. They provide breakfast, which started at 5 a.m., have a restaurant and shuttle to the airport based on what time you schedule it. They were ready to take us when we came down to the lobby. The staff was friendly, courteous and professional. The dinner we ordered was one of the best ones we ate while in Italy. Surprise! The actual hotel has an interesting history. The building was constructed in 1908 partly from salvage materials from the central train station demolition in Milan I believe. There has obviously been some remodeling through the years turning it from a home into a hotel. It's not the best decorating and kinda mixed styles, but who cares when it's clean, comfortable, quiet and situated in a beautiful park like setting. In fact, it's within a national park which makes walking about easy and interesting. We'd stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed second floor overlooking the direction of the airport. It was nearly impossible to hear a...

So, you are picking a place by the airport for your last night in Northern Italy. You can make it a throw away by picking the standard chain hotel or...
This is an old private villa that has been converted to a hotel. It is extremely close to the airport at Malpensa but it feels as if you have somehow gone into the Twilight Zone. The town of Vizzola Ticino is for all intents and purposes abandoned. It seems that after the landowner left the villa, all the folks who worked on his land left as well.
The hotel sits on a large piece of land and the trees are of such variety it seems almost like an arboretum. Surrounding the hotel are a variety of old abandoned buildings and an old park. The church in town still rings its bells.
The hotel itself is beautiful but a tad faded (not enough to be shabby). The common areas are architecturally very interesting. Cute bar, nice dining area.
Room, is spacious enough, Plainly decorated and the bath is functional and very clean. TV is limited but the wifi (one euro an hour) is good.
Parking is free and the staff is very friendly with good parking for your car or good shuttle service.
Other notes (weird and otherwise):
1) Hotel dining room has a great chef. Food is incredible but a tad expensive.
2) You are literally three minutes from the airport but you do not notice the plane noise at all.
3) There are metal shutters on the windows. I get the feeling that most of the hotel is empty and they keep the shutters close to cut down on maintenance. They can be opened easily by pull on the cloth strap to the right of the window,
4) Breakfast is free and okay. Nothing to write home about but it will hold you till that nasty airplane food arrives.
All in all. If you are traveling out of Milano on a morning flight, this place is definitely worth checking out. It is different, quirky and kind of cool.

We chose this hotel for our last night due to its location by the airport. Some of the staff was friendly, but notation check-in. Had a light meal which wasn't good. Struck us as a hotel cutting back on expenses. Wouldn't recommend.

We usually spend a night near Malpensa.
This time one of our associates thought of looking up something different and booked Villa.
The Shuttle was well ontime at the airport & the moment we landed there we were so surprised as we were outside an old Italian Mansion / Villa !!! Stepping inside was another surprise as it was full of paintings ( even though some were not real paintings) but so very well placed.
There was a wedding Hall which too was exciting. The Dinning Room was again so very elegant with old world charm!!!
They also had Conference Rooms.
This place is really exciting with very helpful staff. Even though had limited staff but they were all always ready to help.
This place also has a HISTORY !!!!
All in All a Very Great Surprise.
Would come back here !!!

Room Tip: We were happy staying in the Ground Floor
