This hotel was a nightmare to find, the sat nav postcode needs sorting and it is not well sign posted either, not ideal after a tiring day and two hours driving to get there.
Once arrived check in was average, handed key, took my credit card, didn't direct me to room or tell me where the lift was, didn't advise where breakfast was or timings etc or let me know about any facilities in hotel,
Room was average could do with a refurb as quite old fashioned but thats just taste I suppose,
Bed was comfortable, room smelled musty but nothing a spray of perfume didn't fix, rate was reasonable at £55 for the night however at reception I did see a rate card of £170 a night - there's no chance of paying that !
Good to see a hotel providing wifi free of charge in this day and age and as this was a one night business stay made life easier getting online etc
Breakfast - paid £10, poor value for me, not a great selection and again crockery could do with replacing,
All in all a good place to spend a night (if get a reduced rate) but could be so much more with a better check in and giving rooms and breakfast area a bit of tlc

Thank you for your comments with regards to your stay with us at Arden Hotel, Solihull.
We are aware of the issues with the postcode on the Satellite Navigation systems, and we openly have a disclaimer on our website letting people know that this is an issue. We are working with GPS suppliers and pushing to get this sorted out so that it no longer causes an issue. To counteract these issues as you approach the NEC complex we have several brown signs on the A45 giving you directions to the Arden Hotel to try and make your arrival experience easier.
I appreciate your comments with regards to breakfast, we have recently reviewed our breakfast offering and developed it in line with the average 3-star hotel breakfast offering with some great extras, and positioned this at a lower price than most of 3-star hotels offer. If there is something we have missed or not delivered on, please contact the hotel and let me know.
