“Fantastic as always”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

I started going to the Crannag in April as I had heard so many good things about it. I was not disappointed.

The food is locally sourced and always of a high standard. (I'm a sucker for the onglet steak!) The menu is never the same twice and includes at least a couple of interesting vegetarian options.

The service is very friendly and we are always made to feel comfortable (whether we're dressed up or down!). The service is impeccable.

All in all I would highly recommend this restaurant!! I'll certainly be going back before Christmas.

Enjoy

“Best Food in Scotland!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

Just back from a fabulous trip to the Highlands. The only dissappointment had been the food & we were wondering how so many places could go so badly wrong - especially given the amazing ingredients availabe to them. But all that changed on reaching Crannag! Ian had opened specially for a family birthday and the food produced by him and Kathy was sublime. And what a GREAT character! We're already planning our next trip so we can eat there again. If only it were closer. If you want to experience truly great food and music too. Go

“A real treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

This was our first visit there - for a large family birthday gathering.
Kathy and Ian went out of their way to open for us so that we could have the restaurant to ourselves.
The food was wonderful and the service good.
This restaurant rivals any in Glasgow or Edinburgh.

Not to be missed if you are in this area! We will be going back.
