“good roadside cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

Just off a roundabout, with large car park, this is an ideal place to stop for a comfort break. The toilets have interesting piped nature sounds, and cloud decor. Meals are standard fare and staff welcoming. Macaronni cheese and chips is a safe bet. Tea and coffee are fine.

“Does the job!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012

Fairly priced, fair food and friendly staff. Accomodating when changing set menu items and filled the hole in my belly! Not sure what more to want from a Little Chef?

“Pretty Average !”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Stopped for a quick lunch ! - This is one of the Little Chefs that had a makeover during the Heston Blumenthal saga (I think). They spend a bit of money tarting up the decor, then ruin it by slapping a couple of slot machines partially blocking the entrance ! Service was ok - but food was pretty awful ! Went into the toilets, one sink was blocked and full of water, none of the hand dryers worked. There is just a complete lack of attention to detail, and no-one seems to care ! I wonder how much longer the Little Chef brand will last - such a shame !

“Nothing was literally too much trouble.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

7pm at night and half of the restaurant was out of bounds having been closed off for cleaning - which didn't appear to be happening.
The excuse for the poverty of service was that the place was 'understaffed'
An uncomfortable experience wasn't helped by out of control children being loudly encouraged to call other customers 'vampires,' which she plainly thought was acceptable and hilarious.
