“Yummy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

Great and amazing food. Relaxed family friendly atmosphere. Very nice staff (even to foreigners). Locals definitely eat here. Be sure to take the quick walk to the scenic overlook by the church (catch that at dusk -- at a glance the fields of Tuscany can be mistaken for an ocean).

“Confusion”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

Ate here in August with Italian family, as soon as we had the menu in hand the lady jumped on us rolling out a long, long list of dishes of course we couldn't remember them all so we were quiet embarrassed and asked for time. In a group of nine one of us waited ten minutes more for their meal and a salad was forgotten, between the lady and two other waiters and who I think was her daughter we managed to get served everything. Asked for the bill three times and in the end I had to go to the till and ask for it again.service was very slow and lucky for us there were not many tables! Food was discreet and aboundant. Prices very good and smiley(though confused) service.resturant does leave you with a slightly oily feel-maybe a re- style would help.only one waiter wore a uniform all others were dressed as if for home wear very disturbing the young girl with transparent top and bikini style top underneath.i think this could be a good resturant but it needs someone professional to take things in hand.

“Invigorating home-made food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

If you want to relish local specialties (try their pasta con cinghiale), this is the place to go. The food is typical of the area, the wines are delicious and the staff efficient and friendly. The place is filled with locals, which is a good indication. It is certainly a place to recommend...

“Good food, good staff, good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

The food is plentiful, good, and reasonably priced. The house red wine is completely drinkable and, at €3.50 for 375 cl., a heck of a deal. The staff are helpful and good natured, even when they’re run off their feet by Italian bicyclists and German motorcyclists, as they were during my recent visit. The walls are decorated with classic motor rally pictures and even one that appears to be from the Mille Miglia back in the 1960s. Cool!

“Best food and value in All of Italy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

We rented an apartment in Radicofani and the best part of that town is LaGrotta. The cinghiale and polenta is just scrumptious. I went to La Grotta 3 times and each time I could not pass up this dish. The place is bustling with people at all times on the weekend. Reservations are recommended. Giovannina is one of the owners and cooks--she will definitely take care of you. She makes her own pasta and is very proud of her food. The locals are in the place and that alone is a great recommendation. When the bill arrives, you will be astounded at what a value you have discovered. Go there and feast!!
