I recently went here for a family members birthday party. The building itself is beautiful, being an old farmhouse, with a feel of the old days. The staff even went as far as to light the original log fireplace for us to sit around.
Then the ordering started. Albeit, with 30+ people, it was never going to be anything less than chaos. But waiting over an hour to be served was abysmal. Along with the fact that the prices are rather ridiculous, in comparison to Coulby Farm with their 2 for 1 deals for example.
I chose the Pea and Ham soup and it was nothing less than vile. It tasted like it had been taken from a tin, heated, left to go cold, refrigerated for months and heated again. Every other person around my table complained there was something wrong.
So, all in all, a beautiful place, friendly & helpful staff... But dire food.
