Have stayed at a lot of lodges and they are all very much the same - we've had a high standard and good service thought the UK..
This site offers a good product/service - but don't quite reach the high shine of some log cabin/hot tub places.
The good - good quality furniture, comfy bed and plenty of hanging space in wardrobes. Spacious shower en suite and good powerful shower. The separate utility was great for bags & outdoor gear - even a washing machine. The living room is spacious and comfy sofa's.
The bad - The cabin does get very hot when it's warm outside and the flies do make opening windows a bad idea (and eating outside difficult) - there's one indoor fan but it's nowhere near enough for the size of the place.
There's traffic noise when in the hottub/outside, especially when the large trucks go by about 6ft from where your sitting. (the tree's mean you can't see them)
The kitchen lets them down - there's no coasters or place mats so all tables are badly marked with water rings etc. There is generally not enough utensils, no sharp knifes, and poor quality/mis matched crockery & cutlery. All the pan lids had a greasy dirty film on them.
There's not the usual basics welcome pack - no coffee etc, (There's a dishwasher but no tablets and no tea towel should you handwash). I appreciate many self catering options give nothing - but in the higher spec cabins they do all this - and missing this out means they don't feel as luxurious as others in the same bracket.
The owners did say they'd never stayed in a cabin themselves and this showed, they don't seem to know what they're competitors are offering in the detail. In short the cabin is great - the site is good - but the details let them down.
Since our visit i've heard it's for sale so this may be why the level of care wasn't as other places.
